Abstract
Robotics is the branch of Engineering and Science that deals with the designing, constructing, and usage of Robots as well as other systems. Robots are made from numerous mechanical systems that allow it to move or do other stuff like saying something. Robotics allows us to develop machines that can do our work for us, mostly in manufacturing but they can also be used in dangerous environments such as the Lunar Rover currently on the moon. Robots are a very popular topic in the entertainment industry with examples such as “The Iron Giant” and “Pacific Rim”. Robots are a controversial topic for many people, most of them in the working class because they feel that robots are out to take their jobs and thus, have a certain hatred of them. Robotics includes elements from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and others. They can take on any form from Industrial robots who work as welders and painters, to Military robots who serve as bomb disposal units, transporters, and even dangerous reconnaissance drones. Some resemble humans in appearance but most don’t and this can be weird. This can help a robot replicate human behavior such as walking, lifting, …show more content…

It spread to Japan, South Korea and parts of Europe over the next century to the length of having an estimated population of 1.2 million. Robots have found their places in departments other than Industry such as Entertainment purposes, the Military, and the Medical field. They are also being used in Space for reconnaissance purposes. In 1957, the Soviet Union launched the first artificial orbiting satellite known as ‘Sputnik’, which marked the beginning of the space race with the US. It wasn’t until 1964 that the US had a successful attempt at taking pictures with the lunar probe known as ‘Ranger 7’, until they had successfully launched a rocket to the moon in 1969 and marked mankind’s’ first steps on the
