The Health Care System

I am 23 year old and just a year ago I did not have health insurance. That was a very uncomfortable stage of my life. When I got sick I had to second guess myself about going to the doctors. Unlike other countries the United States does not offer health care, according to Heath Care USA America has one of the best heath care system but is expensive. 44 million Americans are uninsured, and another 38 million have inadequate health insurance.

41 million Americans did not have health insurance in 2001. In 2004, the number rose to 45 million. And in 2005, 47 million people were living without health care. On the other hand, 84% of Americans had health care in 2005 according to a census. So what is wrong with America's health care?

The U.S. government is the only one that could make this actually happen, and for the citizens we can just cross our fingers and continue to hope that one day this change will occur. As for now, we might as well keep working our jobs so that we can make enough money to afford health care. In conclusion, the problems that expensive access to health care cause is important to take into consideration because it involves everyone and it can affect, maybe even drastically change, the quality of any individual's life.

Today the level of health care has excelled tremendously. Presently the goal of our health care is to have a continuum of care for the patient, one which is integrated on all levels. Many hospitals offer a referral service or discharge plan to patients who are being discharged. Plans for the patient are discussed with a discharge planner. The discharge planner is a person who is trained in assessing what the patient's requirements for health care will be after discharge from the hospital.

Secondly the reforms must satisfy everyone who would be affected by any new changes, may it be individuals, departments, states, insurance companies, citizens or the government. Thing which will be beneficial to all the concerned, involved will bring the best outcome of the efforts. It’s always difficult to agree upon one rule for all, like studies conducted by RAND Health Insurance Experiment showed that people tend to reject even basic health care, if prices of health care are increasing. Reforming health care system has been a hot topic for many years. A society's commitment to health care reflects some of it's most basic values about what it is to be a member of the human community (Cockerham, 2012). Legislators have been proposing diferrent policies in an effort to solve this dilemma without significant progress. Health Care Reform in the United States In the United States, more than forty million people are without health insurance. Of these people, many are employed by firms that do not offer coverage and many others fall just below the poverty line. Many are poor but still do not qualify for Medicaid. At least twelve million of those without health insurance are children. Reliable sources indicate that the number of uninsured people could rise as high as sixty million by the year 2010.

Universal health care is what will eventually save Americans a large amount of money and it will also guarantee that every American is insured. The number of uninsured citizens has grown to be above 40 million people. Health care is becoming unaffordable and we can eliminate wasteful inadequacies. A centralized national database can be established to make life easier for doctors, and medical professionals will only have to worry about the patience and not who’s paying for the medication for people. There are many people today who do not like the idea of universal health care and refuse to get it.
