The Green Party

How I came to find the Green Party is by my ceramic high school teacher. Since, my family rarely spoke about politics, I found conversations with my teacher intriguing when he talk about his view on the world and politics. While attending his class, introduce me to his political party, which is the Green Party. I found the platforms for the Green Party to be agreeable to most of my views,since I am moderately liberal and they are Hard-Core Liberal. Also, I disagreed with the two party system I found myself registering as a member of the Green Party.

The origins of the Green party began in 1984. They were known as the Committees of Correspondence. As time passed, the Committed of Correspondence became centralized and began forming governing bodies and platforms that ranges from protecting the environment to pro-labor agenda to human rights and social justice. By 1990, the party became known as the Green and during this time, division between the party arose over electoral strategies. One of the members, Petra Kelly, found that electoral politics was corrupting and supported the idea of an “anti party party” ("A Brief History of the Green Party"). While, others viewed electoral politics as a needed engine for social change. The struggle over the direction of the organization ended shortly with a compromise, where both strategies would be incorporated within the same political organization, which was renamed the Greens/Green Party USA.

...ct with our equality on sex. In addition, the Green Party strongly favors legally requires hiring women and minorities. If this were to occur we would have a system that would unjustly hire individuals that are not as eligible for the jobs as others. I agree that we currently have a male dominate labor force, but seeing how many women are attending college compare to men. That work force would soon change on it's own regardless of policy.
