As young children there is a golden rule that we are all supposed to follow, I believe that this rule plants a seed in us that helps us to grow and become caring human beings. The rule states this, “treat others the way you wish to be treated”. This rule is quite simple, but when implemented into the minds of young children who are still being shaped by the people around them it is a quite effective rule. The golden rule is a small simple break down of the idea a great philosopher by the name of Mencius had. Especially, because there is a large number of undocumented workers. There is also no reason to want to get rid of illegal immigrants when most of them are in the United States working harsh jobs that nobody else seems to want to take. The Department of Homeland Security estimated that a number around 11.4 million illegal aliens were living in the United States in 2012, and then the Pew Research Center estimated that there was a population of about 11.3 illegal aliens in the year 2013. The issue I see with wanting to get rid of all undocumented people in the United States is that the people who hire them which are usually large companies or corporations, are paying them less than minimum wage, that being said, no person with residency or citizenship is going to let someone take advantage of them like that. Illegal immigrants work in factories, fields, construction, and even for wealthy people cleaning their homes. If Donald Trump were to get rid of all illegal immigrants, then those businesses would move to another country where they can pay people less than they deserve. Which also means that all the money undocumented workers are putting back into the economy will no longer be, and it will cause our economy to go down, while the price of goods goes
