Self-knowledge is the ability to accept by recognition of one’s own flaws through forgiveness, allowing the ability to love one’s self and others. By the achievement of self-knowledge, one drastically grows on a personal level. Personal growth is a necessary element in the process of growing up and becoming a wiser individual. On a personal aspect, I have found that I have personally grown intellectually, psychologically, socially and professionally in the past 15 weeks of the fall 2013 semester here at Marywood University. We come to college looking to gain vast intellect. Little did I know just how rapidly I would begin to acquire this. You always need a plan B whether it be in regards to your career, your summer job or even what to have for lunch that day, a plan B can really save a lot of time and stress, ultimately making you seem more professional to the public eye by generally just acting like an accomplished adult. It is hard to believe that one-eighth of my bachelor’s degree is coming to a close. Fortunately it can be said that these past 15 weeks were not at a loss for growth. In my objective opinion, I have grown intellectually, psychologically, socially and professionally, allowing me to become an overall better individual and student here at Marywood University.
