Know one really will ever understand what went on in this man’s mind but he was defiantly one of the greatest men of all times. The following is a description of this great scientist. Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany on March 14, 1879. He was born to Herman and Pauline Einstein, middle class German Jews. Einstein was a very bright child; a magnetic compass sparked his interest in the natural world, at the young age of four.
However, three more children would be added to the family from the second marriage. Later, Newton was enrolled in King’s School in Grantham, where he was first introduced to the fascinating world of chemistry. Sadly, Newton was pulled out of school because his mother wanted him to become a farmer. He failed at farming and went back to school to finish his education. Soon after he graduated, his uncle persuaded Newton to enroll in a Trinity College in Cambridge.
In conclusion, Kepler played a huge role in the Scientific Revolution with his many genius discoveries and major accomplishments due to his early developed love for science. His contributions to science and mathematics played a big role in the development of science. Without his genius it could have taken years longer to discover some of the things he did. Therefore, Johannes Kepler is one of the most important astronomers of the Scientific Revolution. His mother passed her passion for music on to Albert. He began violin lessons at the age of six and although he was never a musical genius he carried a passion for music for the rest of his life.1 In 1894 Albert’s fathers business failed again so the family moved to Milan in order to get a fresh start. Albert’s father left him behind so that he would be able to finish school and receive a diploma. Less than a year later, Albert left school, without receiving his diploma, to be with his family in Milan. At the age of sixteen, Einstein took the entrance exam for a school that would give him a degree in electrical engineering, and failed.
It was interesting to learn about his life throughout this book. I did not really understand particle spin concept. It was cool to see how much has changed in just twenty five years, I would love to see an update on the ideas presented in this book. Steven Hawking is one of the smartest people to ever live, let alone a physicist. It was a rather inspiring life story too because his parents were educated but not rich, he went to college and despite his disease he developed, he still went on to be an excellent physicist and be internationally recognized as a genius.
In 1894, Hermann Einstein's business failed and the family moved to Pavia, near Milan, Italy. Einstein was left behind in Munich to allow him to finish school. Such was not to be the case, however, since he left the gymnasium after only six more months. Einstein's biographer, Philip Frank, explains that Einstein so thoroughly despised formal schooling that he devised a scheme by which he received a medical excuse from school on the basis of a potential nervous breakdown. He then convinced a mathematics teacher to certify that he was adequately prepared to begin his college studies without a high school diploma.
Archimedes might have been related to King Hieron the second, King Hieron definitely favored Archimedes as his first philosopher. As a young boy, Archimedes developed a life-long interest in the study of the heavens. As a teen he traveled to Egypt where he studied at the great Library of Alexandria, possibly under the followers of Euclid. Archimedes is often described as being absentminded, self-absorbed, and somewhat eccentric. Despite these personal attributes, he was recognized in his own time as a genius, and is revered today as one of the greatest figures in the history of science and mathematics.
The Daltons were Quakers, and have been since the 1690’s. John was always a very smart and curious child. He was actually one of the smarter people in the village. He was a lucky child, who received schooling. This was a very big deal considering there were only 215 English men that could even read. He was always interested in mathematics and in science.
His father w... ... middle of paper ... ...contributed if his health allowed. Niels Henrik Abel was a young but productive mathematician. In his short life he became a highly regarded mathematician and many of the formulas and theories he invented are still used today. Almost all of his work is very extensive and involved in very upper level math and because many people never reach this level he does not receive the credit he deserves. His work with the integral equations lead to the the invention of radar and sonar in an indirect way.
He was a small child and not expected to survive. When Newton was three, his mother remarried and moved in with her new husband, Reverend Barnabus Smith, who lived in North Witham (approximately one mile away). His mother left Isaac in the care of his maternal grandmother, Margery Ayscough. Isaac did not like his stepfather and held some bitterness towards his mother for marrying him. From the ages of twelve to seventeen, Newton went to school at The King's School, Grantham.
