Their Decision:The First Day of the Rest of my Life When Jack’s parents called him into the living room that night while he was doing the dishes, he knew exactly what they wanted to speak with him about. Jack listened to their words for a few minutes, but he knew it wasn’t what he wanted to hear. He tried to tune them out and refused to believe what they were saying. After watching them talk for a few more minutes, he stormed upstairs to his room for the rest of the night. He’d been dreading this night for a few months now, and it had finally arrived; he now knew that he would not be attending Troy High School, the public school near his home where all of his friends were going, but instead would be taking classes at University of Detroit Jesuit High School, a private school located within the city limits of Detroit.
