Did you know 14 billion tons of garbage is dumped into the ocean every year? And, most of it is plastic. Think about it fish you might be ingesting plastic yourself too. If you enjoy breathing fresh air or looking at a blue sky you should learn about ways you can keep doing so. If take leisure in catching some waves out in the beach or fishing is a big part of your life, you should be informed of the ways pollution can prevent you from doing so. If you want to live a longer healthy life for yourself or others you care about, you should learn the different ways you can improve your chances.
In my time of living, I have gone to the following beaches: Ocean, Pacific, La Jolla, Imperial, and Solana. While visiting these beaches I saw birds eating cigarette buds. I stepped on plastic as well as trash on my way into the water. I have also seen people throw trash on the floor because they are too lazy to walk a little more. I have been to different hiking trails such as: Cowles Mountain, Mission trails, Torrey Pines, and Lake Murray. While hiking I have seen people fall because the trail was worn down not only by us humans, but Mother Nature as well.
Throughout my paper I will be discussing how pollution affects everyone and everything around us. What you can do to help reduce pollution. Last but not least, how the world will look with and without my solution. Now I want you to imagine you are heading to the beach; it’s been a half a year since you have gone for a swim. Naturally once you get there you are filled with joy; hence, you skip into the water. Once you are chest deep in the cool icy water you feel something near you. As you look down, horror overcomes your face when you spot a dead seagull intertwined between your legs. When...

...other nature by attending beach and park clean ups, participating in trail restorations, and bringing awareness to those near you. While you do that, I will do the same as yourself .As well as creating my own club/foundation to do expand my knowledge and other of pollution, how it affects everything and what they can do to help prevent pollution. I hope today I have started a fire inside you that will continue to grow the more you help the environment you live in. That that fire will spread until whole word is in flames.

In the next decades, pollution is said to become one of the major causes for death in many urban cities. Pollution is

Pollution is caused by smoke, ash, and toxic fumes from volcanoes. (“Pollution” 2014) Pollution causes smog(“Pollution” 2014) Finally, 33% of ocean pollution comes from atmospheric toxins.(“We” 1942)
Water pollution has had devastating effects on the environment, which include irreversible effects to the oceans ecosystem. People often underestimate the importance of the ocean. They don’t realize how much damage pollution has caused to the ocean and the thousand of creatures that inhabit it. Earth is a huge place, but resources are actually very limited and will not last forever; unless there is a balance. We must protect the resources we have in order for them to last into the next generation. Every time we throw away a plastic bottle, drive our cars, and even burn those millions of fossil fuels to operate all those huge factories, there is a chance it will pollute the ocean and eventually effect the way we live. There should be stricter laws regulating human pollution, in order to protect our oceans ecosystem.
Imagine that it is the end of a long week of finals, and you want to relax and enjoy your much deserved trip to the beach. However, when you get there, you immediately feel disgusted because the pearl-white sand is covered by trash, and your hopes are shattered. Although the United States isn’t an island, it has its share of beaches, and they are all familiar with pollution. Pollution is one of the largest causes of deaths worldwide. Since the United States is one of the top consumers of the world, it needs to give back as much as it’s taking in. Without a doubt, the U.S.A. is one of the top countries to live in, but the amount of consumption and pollution is outrageous and needs to be addressed immediately.
As one of Earth's creatures it is imperative that we take care of our planet and do our best to protect and care for it. All over the world there are major pollution issues that we all can help fix and keep in check. We could reduce the amount of trash and items that we carelessly let float away with the wind when we could have just thrown it away. We could save the planet and in doing so save the world. You could be one of many that decides to help save the Earth from the chemicals and waste that is is forced to endure. Even though America is responsible for a lot of the pollution every country should take responsibility for their action towards the Earth.
One of the most dangerous environment issues Southern California is facing today is air pollution. This includes the burning of fossil fuels and natural disasters. Los Angeles is one of the most polluted cities in the world, and the most polluted city in the United States. I will research information about the causes, the effects, and the history of air pollution in the Los Angeles. For my research, I have relied mostly on, the school’s database and library, as well as current events.

It's up to you to make the right choices and protect our watersheds, oceans, beaches and marine life. Always dispose of your cigarette butts properly. And, Do not use a hose to water down your driveway. This wastes a lot of water and also drains the oil and other pollutants. Join in at shore clean-ups or pick up trash whenever you can and dispose of it properly. Reducing ocean pollution also starts at home. Los Angeles has started a program to clean its ocean sewage problem. Los Angeles County should follow suit. It has applied for a disclaimer to keep dumping highly toxic sludge off Palos Verdes, one of the riskiest contaminated areas along the Pacific coast. That disclaimer must be denied by the Environmental Protection Agency, and then the EPA should get on with cracking down on other seas and estuary
Pollution is so harmful to human beings. Polluted water can cause many kinds of diseases, such as diarrhea, enteritis, and so on. And sometimes the diseases even take man’s life. Dirty air or air-borne garbage causes stinging eyes and running nose. Pollutants are destructive. They will cause runs in stockings and crack rubber tires and they always eat away at stone and rust iron. Time and time again, there are serious accidents that polluted the air. For example, At 1986 there was a bad accident at a nuclear power station in Russia. A cloud of radiation crossed the whole Europe. It is said that 125,000 people died in Russia as a result of illnesses caused by that accident. In 1984 there was an accident at a factory in India and a dangerous cloud gas covered the town of Bhopal. Over 2,500 people were killed that night, and hundreds and thousands of people were injured. Many of the injured lost their sight, and it really dangerous, even in our imagination.
The reason why I chose this topic was because I don’t like seeing trash in the oceans, lakes or ponds just anything. It’s annoying how people don’t know how to take care for stuff. Especially that other people see it not just one or two people but thousands of people see it. When people see that there’s trash all around the area there not going to want to go back to that ocean or that part that they went to because they see that it’s all trashy there and it’s not healthy for humans and the ocean. I just don’t like seeing trash anywhere just all over the place I think it’s gross. So I want to talk about this because I don’t like it and I think it’s a good subject to talk about.
ATTENTION GETTER: Every day, I see the effects of pollution. From the trash that’s thrown into bushes to the murky lakes to the smog-filled skies, these are examples of the negative human impact on the environment.

Environmental pollution has always remained a serious problem in society today. Our planet is often being polluted by many toxins that are not only deadly to us, but our wildlife too. Environmental pollution leads to air pollution, environmental crisis, and global warming. Now there are many different ways that can help these topics be preventable. People need to understand what environmental sustainability truly is. Learning environmental sustainability will give people the tools and knowledge to help sustain our planet before it is too late. Planet earth is our home and people need to understand the damage being done to it. Understanding these important key factors will lead our planet to become healthier and a better place for life to live.
