I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called… But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, when he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth. He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:1, 4: 7-12, King James Version) …show more content…

In my typical workweek for flight, I do some flight instructing, depending on the students schedules; I also use my plane as a taxi service on various occasions. I never work Sunday mornings though. I believe that God is ultimately in control of everything and that He deserves our respect. He teaches us through our experiences and we need to connect to him for him to do this.

Being something doesn’t make the world a better place. It’s what you do that makes a difference. If I were to somehow use my plane to save lives, the action would make the world a better place, not the fact that I am a flight instructor.
