In, “The Family: A Proclamation to the World,” one of the first doctrines stated in the entirety of the document is “ALL HUMAN BEINGS—male and female—are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny,”. This powerful statement serves as a reminder that each person comes from a divine heritage. It is a prompting that all of God’s children should love and be confident in themselves because they are truly are child of God. He wants us to be able to remember these teachings and follow his divine plan to help us create own our family. These important teachings spoken of in scriptures, and from apostles of God, help provide the foundation declared in “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” and its important to refer back to them often, as they can easily slip our minds, much like it did to me. As I prepare to go on my mission to Mesa, Arizona I now realize the importance of making sure people know that we are God’s divine spirit children who each has their own sacred nature and future. As I help those on my mission remember these teachings and how it is declared in the Proclamation, I can help them to become more confident in who they are and help them to continue through God’s divine destiny and plan. Knowing these truths will help us both them and myself to develop our own families within the plan of happiness and we can from there help others in our own families develop this sacred testimony as
