The food given to these animals are supposed to make them grow faster, but it is also causing serious digestive problems for the animals. According to the Sustainable Table, “recent studies have shown that chemical additives in feed may accumulate in animal tissues, potentially exposing consumers to unwanted chemicals such as veterinary drug residues and heavy metals.” This is not fair for the animals and humans to have to suffer through something like this just so unhealthy food can be produced. Environmental Impact of Unsustainable Foods One of the big problems that came along with unsustainable foods is its terrible impact on the environment. The factory farms that have produced these unsustainable foods have caused a lot of pollution.

A few people can say they truly take the time to know how their food is process, the types of chemicals that have been used in their food, what harm will those chemicals cause to the body and the nutritional value of their food. The food industries and the diet it created have caused incalculable damage to the health of consumers and the environment.

Abolish the Food and Drug Administration The food and drug administration also known as the FDA ensures the protection of products and drugs sold daily. The FDA has been around as a protection agency for the United States Federal Government since 1906. The food and drugs they approve are not safe for the environment. In fact the approved food and drugs are a danger to animals and human life. Daily numerous of health risk are being caused by genetically mortified organisms.
