A cell phone is a portable telephone which uses cellular network to receive and make calls and send and receive text messages. Cell phones emit signals via radio waves which are comprised of radio frequency energy; it is a form of electromagnetic radiation. Electromagnetic radiation is energy letting out waves like behaviour as it is travelling through space. Examples of electromagnetic radiation are microwaves, x-rays and visible light. The electromagnetic spectrum consists most of the colours we world normally see in a rainbow colours like red, orange, green, yellow, blue, indigo and violet. When we put our cell phones into our pocket or anywhere near our body we are letting a lot of radiations enter into our bodies and these radiations can cause us human’s health risks. The microwave we use to heat our food up and the cell phones that we use they are all part of the electromagnetic spectrum. The electromagnetic spectrum is a whole variety of all possible frequencies of electromagnetic radiation. Gamma rays are a type of radiation which has an extremely high-energy beam which i...
Millions of people around the world use cell phones on a daily basis and people hardly realize the terminal risks. Cell phones may seem completely harmless, but they actually emit radio waves that can be hazardous towards the human body. Each time someone makes a call or receives a call, a type of cancerous radiation is given off by the cell phone in order for the user to communicate with the person on the other side of the line. Since the amount of cell phone users has rose rapidly, more people are being exposed to this kind of radiation. As cell phones undergo advancements, people are starting to use them more often, leading to an increase in the amount and length of calls each day. Some believe that these radio waves do no such harm to your body due to the radiation wave being weak but in reality, exposure to any kind of radiation is never safe. Radio waves might not affect the human body immediately, but after a long period of time the effects are bound to reveal. Cell phones can increase the risk of cancer because its radiation affects brain cells, causes tumors, and is hazardously absorbed by the tissues in the body.
All The Light We Cannot See: Radio A spark ignites life within the embodiment of a metal case. As Werner, one of the main characters in the novel “All The Light We Cannot See”, mends the copper conduits a spark pulses through wire, circuitry and antenna. The sparks bend into vitality, crafted outside it’s engineered purpose. The vitality manipulates electromagnetic waves producing sound and thought.
Conduction, convection and radiation are the three methods through which heat can be transferred from one place to another. The (www.hyperphysics.com) first method is the conduction through which heat can be transferred from one object to another object. This process is defined as the heat is transmitted from one to another by the interaction of the atoms and the molecules. The atoms and the molecules of the body are physically attached to each other and one part of the body is at higher temperature to the other part or the body, the heat begins to transfer. A simple experiment through which conduction can be understood easily is as follows. First of all, take a metallic rod of any length. Hold the rod in the hand or at any stand made up of the insulator so that the heat does not transfer to the stand. Heat up the one end of the rod with the help of the spirit lamp. After sometime, touch the other end of the end, the other end of the becomes heated too and the temperature of the other end of the rod has also increased. Although only one end of the rod is heated with the spirit lamp, but the other end of the rod has also been heated. This is represents that the heat has been transferred from one end of the rod to the other end of the rod without heating it from the other end. So, the transformation of the heat is taking place. This process is called the conduction. Conduction is a process which is lead by the free electrons. As the conduction happens occurs only in the metallic materials, the reason for it is that the metals has the free electrons and they can move freely from one part of the body to another part of the body. These electrons are not bounded by the nucleus so, they can move easily. And when the temperature of the ...
According to Lizette Borreli, “ Ninety-one percent of American adults and 60 percent of teens” own a cell phone. This is almost all of America that owns a cellphone. Although it is very common for those with cellphones to text as their primary form of communication, the use of a cell phone when speaking to one verbally can negatively impact the cell phone user’s health. Short-term effects of cellphones include “tissue heating.” This process occurs when a cell phone’s contact to the body transmits its energy into the skin, resulting in a rise in temperature of the organs ("Electromagnetic Fields and Public Health: Mobile Phones." para. 8). Even though this may not lead to immediate negative effects, it degrades the body over time, exemplifying why cell phones not only have (insert) tolls, but physical ones as
Cell phones use radio frequencies to transmit signals. Radio Frequencies (RF) are a form of electrical waves similar to those used in radios, microwaves, radars or satellite stations. They are emitted from a transmitter, and received using an antenna. This telephony technology is restricted geographically to small zones called “Cells”. Every cell has a base station capable of sending and receiving radio waves. When a call is started a signal leaves the handheld unit headed to the closest base station. This station answers by allocating a specific channel to the unit. When this “channel” is established, modulated radio frequency signals are both received and transmitted. The head of the user is in the near field of use because the distance from the antenna to the head is a few centimeters. (Blettner & Berg 2000) If the antenna is inside the body of the phone, the exposure to Radio Frequencies is greater. The antenna might be requesting a stronger signal to contest with the interference of the battery or the actual shell of the phone’s body.
Electromagnetic waves are waves that can propagate even though there is no medium. A magnetic field that changes with time can generate an electric field that also changes with time, and an electric field that changes with time can also produce a magnetic field. If the process is continuous it will produce a magnetic field and electric field continuously. If these magnetic fields and electric fields simultaneously propagate (spread) in space in all directions then this is a symptom of the wave. Such a wave is called an electromagnetic wave because it consists of an electric field and a magnetic field that travels in space.
Brain tumors and eye cancer are two health concerns of cell phones that are currently under investigation. Many people have heard rumors about whether or not cell phones are responsible for these health problems, but answers never seem to be found.
In some Greek experiments, objects attracted each other after rubbing. Other experiments produced objects that pushed away, or repelled, each other. The evidence showed that electric force made matter either attract or repel other matter.

New inventions are created daily; however, it is those that truly change the world that are remembered. The use and discovery of atomic energy negatively impacts the world because of the danger it entails. Many people across the world believe that the use of atomic energy is a mistake based off of past events that have occurred such as the bombings at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The abuse of atomic energy has been proven to damage society’s morale, population and could potentially destroy entire populations.
The phenomenon called electromagnetic induction was first noticed and investigated by Michael Faraday, in 1831. Electromagnetic induction is the production of an electromotive force (emf) in a conductor as a result of a changing magnetic field about the conductor and is a very important concept. Faraday discovered that, whenever the magnetic field about an electromagnet was made to grow and collapse by closing and opening the electric circuit of which it was a part, an electric current could be detected in a separate conductor nearby. Faraday also investigated the possibility that a current could be produced by a magnetic field being placed near a coiled wire. Just placing the magnet near the wire could not produce a current. Faraday discovered that a current could be produced in this situation only if the magnet had some velocity. The magnet could be moved in either a positive or negative direction but had to be in motion to produce any current in the wire. The current in the coil is called an induced current, because the current is brought about (or “induced”) by a changing magnetic field (Cutnell and Johnson 705). The induced current is sustained by an emf. Since a source of emf is always needed to produce a current, the coil itself behaves as if it were a source of emf. The emf is known as an induced emf. Thus, a changing magnetic field induces an emf in the coil, and the emf leads to an induced current (705). He also found that moving a conductor near a stationary permanent magnet caused a current to flow in the wire as long as it was moving as in the magnet and coiled wire set-up.
First of all, using mobile phone has the negative effect of affecting the health. The scientific data are exploring the relationship between radiation from mobile phones and brain disease. "Research carried out by scientists in Finland suggests radiation from mobile phones causes changes in the brain. It is the first time that scientists have looked at the effects of mobile phone radiation on human cells rather than those of rats"(BBC NEWS, 19 Jun 02 | Health, "Fresh fears over mobile phones"). From above we must understand that research did find a higher incidence of brain tumors on the same side as phone usage.
Cell phones are one of the greatest inventions in the world. We can imagine how life would be without cell phones. Cell phones are very handy; it can make our communication easier. Also cell phones can provide us with everything, like relaxing with music, browsing the internet, chatting on social networking sites or playing games. Unfortunately cell phones are not risk free. Using cell phones involve emission of EMR electromagnetic radiation, which is a dangerous sort of energy wave, is produce by modern appliances that surround us in everyday lives. The worst causes of EMR are cell phones. These days especially children are getting addicted to cell phones. When you are talking on your phone, there are microwaves going through your head. There has been a study on the development of brain tumors and the amount of time you take on the phone due to radio waves. However, people do not realize the consequences and negative effects cell phones cause. It causes diseases and disorders and other harmful damages to our body and health. Nevertheless, cell phones are also not dangerous.
Cell phones represent a type of technology that has been around for more than over fifty years; it has only been recently that many people began to use cell phones as a major part of their everyday life. In the past cell phones were for business people to conduct their business, but in today’s society every one owns a cell phone. Cell phones are interesting, useful and also play a major role in our life’s bringing people closer and keeping in touch with one another. Most people do not know and understand the physics of a cell phone. Cell phones are also known as cellular phone, hand phone, and commonly known as a mobile phone. A cell phone is an electric device that can make and receive calls, over and automatic repeat request (radio link petrol -RLP) used over wireless air interdace.it us a portable telephone that uses and receive phone signals.it also divides that earth into small regional called cells.in the resent estimates there are over 190 million people using mobile phone. One of the primary health concerns is the impact of cell phone radiation, by radio waves by which it operates.
