Problem: After we get in Spanish class, everybody starts talking and the teacher begins to frustrate and give us more work and homework than usual.
• Names of the three techniques/problem-solving general approaches.
1. Creative Problem-Solving General Approach.
2. Control Influence Accept Model (Problem-solving General Approach).
3. Action Learning Sets (Problem-solving General Approach).
• Working through each model to solve my problem.
1. Creative Problem-solving general approach steps to solve my problem.
Clarify: This means that I must explore my goal, by asking questions and formulating a plan to solve my problem. For this step, I must understand why I am having this problem with my teacher and what can I do to solve my problem.
3. Action Learning Sets (Problem-solving General Approach) steps to solve my problem.
Reflect: This means that I need to reflect what is the root cause of my problem and reflect why it happened. For this step, I must think back to when the problem with my teacher begun to occur, like what happened and how my classroom contributed for it to happen.
Learn: This means that after step 1 and having asked all those questions, I can think of the cause of my problem clearly and understand it but learn from it. For this step, I must understand that because we were talking so much during class, our teacher had to give us work and stay silent.
Plan: This means that after I had analyzed the root cause of my problem, I will be able to come up with some solutions to my problem, but not implement them yet. For this step, I must brainstorm solutions to my problem and choose the best solutions, like stop talking during class so the teacher won’t be angry at us or talk during class of school related things, no other
1. For the Creative Problem-solving General Approach, I had to look at my problem differently in a creative way and come up with a solution after doing a lot of brainstorming.
2. For the Control Influence Accept Model, I had to look my problem differently with conscious mindset of the causing factors of my problem and possible factors that I could influence or not.
3. For the last general approach, which is Action Learning Sets, I had to look at my problem differently with a lot of critical and logical thinking to come up with a solution to my problem, which sometimes is difficult to do. All these techniques differ in the way that they analyze and view the problem from another angle rather than solving the problem like we usually would do. These techniques are different but have in common the same purpose of solving the problem but through different thinking processes.
• Do any of these techniques make me see my problem in a new light? No, because they all have in common the same purpose and a similar solution to my problem. Their techniques to solve the problem are different but they analyze and brainstorm to get a

The job of a teacher is never easy but we have seen how cooperative discipline and enabling students to feel capable, connected and contributing can improve classroom management and maybe even our own moods. If we create an environment of mutual respect and give our students legitimate power of voice and choice in the classroom we will see positive results in improved student behavior and student achievement. Because when our students believe that they can succeed, they will.

Solving problems is a particular art, like swimming, or skiing, or playing the piano: you can learn it only by imitation and practice…if you wish to learn swimming you have to go in the water, and if you wish to become a problem solver you have to solve problems. -Mathematical Discovery
Problem-solving help the students to create their own representation or illustration (De Corte, Vrerschaffel, De Win 1985; Hegarty, Mayer, Monk, 1995; Pape, 2003) based on how they interpret or understand the given problem (Pape, 2003; Van der Schoot, Bakker Arkema, Horsley, Van Lieshout, 2009). Problem-solving also tests their critical thinking skills on how they look for another strategy or ways to solve the problem easier. Problem-solving helps the problem solver to develop characteristics of a good problem solver which includes open-mindedness, optimistic, persistent, not afraid to commit mistakes and systematic person since he is following a certain step in solving the
Along these two weeks we have been prompt to make a recall to our own way of learning and why we became a teacher: Was it because coincidence, due to life circumstances, maybe because family tradition, was it a conscious decision or because someone influenced us? Whatever the answer is, we have to face reality and be conscious that being a teacher does not only means to teach a lesson and asses students learning. It requires playing the different roles a teacher must perform whenever is needed and required by our learners, identify our pupils needs and preferences, respecting their integrity and individuality but influencing and motivating them to improve themselves and become independent.
