Gangs and Violence in the United States

In todays United States we have a huge problem affecting society, gangs and the violence that follows them wherever they go. These days’ gangs aren’t just compiled of grown adults, they often lure in young teens to do dirty work and to add numbers to their turf. Despite laws aimed straight at these gangs they still defy the law and wreak havoc upon the territory that they claim. The members in the gang have a gang first mentality and will do everything possible to provide for and protect their fellow members. They will very rarely snitch on their own to help put a stop to some of the meaningless crimes committed by these savages.
Gangs are centered on a certain territory or turf that is claimed by that gang. When rival gangs enter that said territory anything could happen. More often then not there is some type of a violent action that will be taken because the gang feels as if they are being disrespected because that gang member or members are trespassing. Many times civilians are severely injured and even killed due to gang shootouts, drive-bys, and sometimes just at the wrong place at the wrong time. There are an estimated 30,000 gangs with an estimated 1,000,000 members and growing. In big cities where gangs are really prevalent it is stated in __ that there are anywhere from 1,000 to 1,500 deaths per year and from 10,000 to 12,000 per year in the entire United States.
Young teens are a popular commodity within the streets where gangs are dominant. Often times these gangs recruit young teens to establish a numbers game to try to out numbers rival gangs in case of a mass gang war. ...would think these people would have remorse for the vicious crimes they commit but they don’t and just move onto the next victim. Theses people use any type of weapon they can get their hands on. Guns, knives, machetes, and anything that can harm and/or kill an individual are in their arsenal.
Street gangs and prison gangs are a true problem and burden that haunts not only the US but also the World. Gang violence is triggered by itself because it is inevitable to take place due to the gangs’ very small tolerance for disrespect. Many efforts have been put forward to stop the monstrosities cause by the unrestrained men and women who are intimidating everyone who they surround. Gang violence affects the whole United States and not just a certain group. Maybe someday there will be a cure to the killings and violence cause but unfortunately we do not have the solution.
