In the book Critique of Violence ,author Walter describes Violence as "The intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against oneself, another person, or against a group or community, which either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, male development, or deprivation .The violence that is portrayed in the media has been debated for decades ,and it has rose a question about how does it influence the youth?. From movies to video games society has been accustom to seeing violence in their everyday entertainment. Since children are easy to be influence by their environment, it is safe to say that violence in the media can and will contribute to violent behavior. According, to the pediatrics journal, they have conducted a study that involved children and violence .they proposed that extreme violence that is present in movies videos can create a problem in the adolescents of children and in addition it may create dangerous outburst aggressive behavior, desensitization to violence, nightmares, and fear of being harmed. They also feel that parents and children should be responsible for understanding and parents should investigate what their children watch and the company’s should have proper ratings for the movies and video games. Furthermore, many believe that shooting in schools and other public places can be the result of expose to too much violence. According, to the evidence and other research practices is now clear and convincing: media violence is the number one of the causal factors of real-life violence and aggression. Therefore, society and parents need to take action to decrease theses violent acts .According to the article take action against media...

...e sge journal ,there was an article tited ,the influence media violence oin youth ,author Craig A. Anderson discusses the research that proves the influence that the media has on children. Reserch conclded that children who are exposed to violent media can casue violence in children ,Short-term exposure increases the likelihood of physically and verbally aggressive behavior, aggressive thoughts, and aggressive emotions.In addition , he mentions that frequent interaction with violent media can create aggression , this can transfer to assaults .Other evidence explains how characteristics can appear in a child physically and verbally aggressive behavior, aggressive thoughts, and aggressive emotions.even though , there is a major debate over this topic , they have evidence that children can be influenced by the media if there isn’t a strong parental role in their life.
