The internet and technology as a whole, has had an enormous effect on American culture. It has been such a great way for people to let our their true selves and opinions be heard.. Some people say “it's a way for people to express their true thoughts, beliefs.” While others say “it can cause conflict between two different parties.” The internet provides people a sense of privacy and security. You can be someone who you’re not in the real world, for better or worse, and that choice is up to you. The internet acts as a virtual reality to which you can escape and feel better in. It can be from being a smart intellectual student, all the way to being an outsider who does things differently than the “norm”, or how most people do it. These are typically the people that will use the internet to let out their frustration that they have been withholding for so long. The can finally be who the truly desire to be and not be that kid who’s always made fun of. The can be the “cool kid’ or be the person that everyone admires. It is their own virtual reality in which life has just begun again. People believe that this is the very means where “cyberbullying” takes its effect. There is a very simple solution to this issue. Many schools have begun giving out I-Pad’s and laptops to their students, to ensure that they have some means of a technological device that they have access to. Many studying tools and class assignments are done and turned in via the internet and technology. The big question surrounding this is, “is this going to lead to more kids cheating on school assignments and tests?” Cheating in school has been around for ages. It began way before technology was introduced. People would always find a way to make sure they got that “good grade”, or “100%.” Nothing ever stopped them and it never will.
