Imagine a world without education where human history is totally forgotten by the young generation, and individuals are forced to live in their basic everyday life without having the power to change it. Such in balance or disorders are the growing problems that occur around the world, which were pointed out in many educational essays like “The Educated Student” By Barber, “The student and the University” by Bloom, and “Class in America – 2003” by Mantsios. These essays are among the many of their kind that address the status education in the modern world as being forgotten and lost behind all the technology and commercialization of education. Barber, he gave his main argument that explained his point of view on education. In his view he felt that the way we, as humans needed to unite together to stand against the growing terrorism threats which were happening around the world (September 11 2001), Barber believes that only education bring us all closer to each other along in dealing with the educational crisis (419). Sadly, Barber also points out in his essay that in order to achieve education in America, we have to stop the growing effect of commercialism on the young student 's mind that cause them to lose their connection to education. Barber’s main supporting plan for his argument was to shape the young minds of the students towards education in school, he also directed the student’s belief to his point of view that education was the only way to create a better world by not letting the growth of commercialism take over the young minds of student. Some might view it in the mind set of Barber as a problem of money and big corporation in America that feed student false information through advertisement, some might view it from the perspective of Bloom that the corruption in education might be caused by colleges being too specialize with their student majors in school that they don’t let student freely choose what they want to study. This leads to student give up on his or her education that results in the downfall of American educational system. Some even view, the problem with education in today 's society from Mantsios point of view, saying that separation in class between the poor and the rich in America prevents people from achieving their true potential in life causing the downfall of education. No matter how each author addresses the problems in education and the solution being different from each other, they all still send the reader a common idea that everyone in America believes in an American dream where the opportunity of someone to rise and become successful in life can be achieved through hard work and dedication. The way that someone can achieve his or her goals is through a good education and the main point that all three scholars agree on is that nothing should be standing in the way of someone trying to achieve their education, because only through education we as human can really connect with each
