Different Worldviews
When it comes to discussing any religion worldviews with anyone it’s a very touchy subject to talk about. It’s a subject I just don’t get into or politics, no one is ever wrong. It turns into a heated discussion, there religion is never wrong and their beliefs. The challenge that I had was their arrogance, stubbornness and hardheadedness. I can understand anyone’s worldview and I respect their believes, you cannot change or move anyone from their solid ground, it’s just, it is what it is. God is the center of the belief system, and this is the point, of the center of the worldview conflicts. I believe that god saw fit to provide information to his people in his word to have a more perfect worldview, and to speak Christ
Our other work for comparison is the Bible. Briefly summarized, the Bible’s message is truth about this world we live in. We are told our world is controlled by evil powers in high, spiritual places; “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12). However, the earth and the universe were created by God; “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). The world system was created by man, but inspired by Satan; “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4). This world is full of deception and contains every imaginable lie in the form of philosophies and religions, but persecutes the truth. The people who trust in the world are not willing to be “unplugged” in order to see the truth, and the truth is revealed to those who are searching for it.
The essay, “A Christian World View,” by Mickenzie Neely seeks to address some major themes that pertain to a Christian worldview. The essay, in summary, states that “serving others, accepting and giving grace, sacrifice, and justice are all essential to living for Christ.” This essay was presented in a way in which she used facts and scriptures from the Bible to support her point. This paper will analysis Neely’s main arguments and will evaluate my opinion of her writing. The main topics that apply to my Christian worldview are love, service, grace and forgiving.
In Charles Colson and Nancy Pearcy's essay, "Worldviews in Conflict," the authors evaluate the shifting cultural context of today's society and how Christianity fits into this situation. The essay compares the differing views between Christianity and today's worldview, and informs the reader on how to engage in today's culture. The "Worldviews in Conflict" is a reliable source because its authors, audience, publication, and purpose make it credible.
The Christian worldview is centered on the Gospel and places their beliefs in the essential teachings of the Trinity, the deity of Jesus Christ, and Jesus’ resurrection from the dead (DiVincenzo, 2015). This paper will explain who God is and what he created, what our purpose and nature is as humans, who Jesus was and what he did while on earth, how God plans to bring his people back into the right relationship with himself, and as a Christian how one is to live their life with an analysis of the Christian worldview.

We really cannot be sure why God chose the specific time in history and the demographic locations he used to create the universe. It should not be a surprise as we read through Genesis it shows us the rich history of those many years ago and the disputes that are still arising today over religion and land in the Middle East. Religious disputes are still on the rise in these countries and with ease of travel to the United States many have been influenced by other theologies. This can cause confusion for many people, which is why it is important to read and understand the Bible. Genesis 1-11 lays the foundation for all biblical truth as is assumes God is the creator of all things. We know according to scripture that God wanted us to share in his creation and his glory. He chose to reveal himself in his way. These scriptures portray God as just, grace, love, wrath, and holy. This should be our beginning to our introduction of our Biblical Worldview. As broad as this term is it seems we should look at this as a standard of how we personally view our world, beliefs and matters of the heart. There are still such challenges between evolution and the biblical thought, science will view as all machines and we are not divine, we know only God is divine, we are humans with sin potential. People more and more today are searching for answers; they want answers to what happens after they are gone. Is God the real truth? There are many aspects of the Christian worldview that determines one’s faith. It all begins with God and what he did and why he so great. Then how humanity was shape with its issues and main purpose. The way we see Jesus and what has he done to be apart of are faith and what as humans have found for a restoration. Through analysis the Christian faith and how each of these tie in together. While reflecting on my faith and if lives to the standards of a Christian worldview. Through explaining my understanding of the four aspects of a Christian worldview I will analysis and compare it to my faith.
First, often in religion, what I say/believe is tainted by what I want to be true. Now that's not the case in Mathematics. In Math, I'm not tempted to believe 2+2 is 5 because I want it to be 5. It simply doesn't matter to me what 2+2 is as long as I can learn the answer. But with religion we're different. I may believe the man is to be 'head of the house' because I read that in the Bible, but it just simply isn't true that I have no vested interest in the outcome of that study. I want it to be true. "Ah-ha! See, it must not be true that the man is the head of the house then", says my wife, "You just think that because you want to believe it!" Do you see the complication here? She doesn't want to believe it, and I do want to believe it. So is it true or not? "Well", someone says, "it is true for you, and not true for her". This is nonsense . Recognition of a person’s worldview can be found based on one’s answer to several reality questions surrounding God (origin), human nature (identity), reality (meaning/purpose), after life (destiny), values (morality or ethics). My own definition of worldview is a set of beliefs about the most important issues in life and my reaction to them. While in agreement with Jeff Baldwin’s eyeglass concept, I choose to compare my Christian worldview to an internal navigation system. When I am lost and need to be found, Christ is omnipresent. He knows my location and guides me in another direction.

I am a Christian of faith that has a biblical worldview, which is based on the word of God. For many people, religion is a very touchy subject. For most, it is a personal decision; people choose a faith that aligns with their beliefs, ideas, and faiths. Although people would like to think that religion is a personal decision, and they can adapt it to how they feel and what they believe, in practice, that is not the case. Religion represents a commitment to a set of principles that are not moldable, adaptable, or flexible. Religion, although it may be a personal belief, it is extremely defined, with little to no room for flexibility. If people try to modify their religion to their own beliefs or ideas, the pushback can be severe. The lines in religion and faith as to what is acceptable and what is not acceptable are clear, and crossing them can bring serious consequences.
Two major forces which contributed to my worldview include the family environment which I was raised in and the impact of being exposed to foreign missions at a very young age. Growing up in Christian home and a charismatic church congregation shaped my thought construct initially in a positive way. My passion and zeal for God were encouraged and I was provided with many opportunities for expression in the church environment which enveloped me. A negative force resulting from this was a perception of other Christians of different denominations as “less Christian.” It was a blessing that God had simultaneously planted a strong seed of missions work inside of me because it helped to counteract my tendency toward exclusivity. This desire to engage cultures different than my own with the Gospel first spurred my true interaction with a different denominational concept of Christianity. After my initial exposure to the Restoration Movement, I had my worldview further stretched by joining a interdenominational missions organization. Finally Central has played a key role in developing my worldview especially regarding how to exegete the Scriptures. It has also helped me to solidify my own faith and understand the essential need for balance in my Christian walk in order to stand for the truth and walk in love.
My personal worldview explains the way I view and live life through the assumptions and beliefs I hold in response to the world around me. I believe I was created for a specific reason and purpose.
Despite our different ways of living and daily routines; The majority of people come to the conclusion that without God they are just puppets living in a world filled with injustice and cruelty. Others might just not care about anything and only live to live. With out a God; Others have another religion bases, but no matter where people come from, the reality of the world today is that we are a multicultural creation that needs God in their lives. I was right. No sane person in his wrong mind would agree to be a divine Creator, Revealer, Saviour, Lord, and Friend. Unfortunately, human depravity ensures sane human wrong-mindedness. Once one obtains this hope, the difficulty of Christianity shifts from the foolishness of believing myths to the stupidity of doing what they say. This is my challenge, for God has revealed His will plainly and has promised to help His adopted children understand His Word, the Bible.
