Arthur Dent had a normal life until his house is demolished to pave way to make a bypass. The very same day his house is demolished, Earth is also demolished, coincidentally for the same reason. Ford said, “I assume the Presidency under extraordinary circumstances … This is an hour of history that troubles our minds and hurts our hearts (thewhitehouse.gov pg. 1).” While Ford had not planned to be a president, he still did great tasks, served 25 years in Congress, and he did his best.

The bombing leaves the town destroyed, with only one beautiful thing left standing, Old Misery's house, which the gang will eventually destroy. Graham Greene's choice of setting significantly illustrates how people's surroundings greatly influence their actions and behaviors.

After a bombing in London people from different classes unite like Trevor and his family. Meanwhile, his mother believes to be better than everyone in the neighborhood Trevor tries to fit in. He becomes a new member of the gang takes over becoming the new leader, replacing Blackie.
"The Destructors" written by Graham Greene as a third person view. The story set in London nine years after the end of World War II. People survived from "The Blitz". The Blitz "was Nazi Germany's sustained aerial bombing campaign against Britain in World War Two."(The Blitz) Everything was in chaos, people lost their home, slept in the underground station and lost their hope for the future. The story is about a group of teenage boys who formed a gang and call themselves as the "Wormsley Common Gang". They have a meeting every morning in an impromptu car-park. "It is the site of last bomb of the first blitz"( Greene,55). Although almost everything in this area is destroyed, there is only one house remain with limited damage. It is owned by Mr. Thomas, the youth gang called him Old Misery. One day, the leader of the gang, Blackie, suggest that they should try to sneaking free bus as much as possible while T, Trevor, suggest the boys should demolish Mr. Thomas' house during his two-day visit to the bank holiday. All the members are following T's directions and T becomes the new leader of the youth gang. The Wormsley Common Gang destroyed the house and it is in shambles, at the end, the house was pulled down by the driver and there is nothing left in this area now.
Henry Ford created the Model T with the goal of producing a car that could be marketed to the middle class. Up until this point the average car produced cost around $2,000, which exceeded the price range of most Americans. Ford saw the middle class as an economic opportunity, a chance to create more costumers while still manufacturing the same product. His decision was not based exclusively on the lucrative market of the middle class though, but also on his humanitarian belief that citizens deserved the opportunity to purchase a car, as it would allow them to “enjoy with his family the blessing of hours of pleasure in God's great open spaces." Not surprisingly, when Ford created the Model T the working class flooded factories with orders, in turn, causing the number of Model T’s produced per year to double, from 18,644 to 78,440 in just two years .
