To editors: I did not include statistics for GPA and test scores in this paper because I included them in the previous essay and am under the impression we will be combining them at some point.
The sources I can find through the delta library search that are reliable about this topic are so slim. If you have any input about another source I can try I would love to hear it! Everything I have read is Pro-Homeschool I cannot seem to find a reliable source to site with statistics about Pro- Public School.
The debate about the effectiveness of homeschooling in comparison to public school is quite the debate. How could it not be? Our children, our friends children, and all children for that matter are our future! Our future is dependent on the education and socialization today …show more content…

Choosing to home school generally means that a parent needs to be home throughout the day which can mean a loss in income. Today, it is very common for it to take two incomes for one family to survive. So not having the flexibility to work during the day may be a huge disadvantage to families. Another possible disadvantage to homeschooling is that it is believed by parents that they can provide the best education for their children, but this is not always true. Home schooling does take time, planning, and commitment. Although parents may want what is best for their children, they may not always have what it takes to provide it educationally. It may also be a disadvantage for teenagers who are homeschooled and choosing to go to college after high school, if they have never been in a public school setting. In high school, students become familiar with a class schedule, the campus, and study groups. It may take longer for a home school student to adapt to a college campus and studying habits than those who have attended a public high school or middle school at some time in their
