The Debate in the United States over Immigration
Immigration plays a huge role in the population of the United States. The U.S. is looked at as a place for a new start and a place to begin a new life. This country gives people the opportunity to make their own choices and have their own freedom, who are we to decide who can have these rights or not. Should Americans really have to right to deny another human being the right to live in this beautiful country? America is a wonderful place to live, so should immigration become legalized, meaning as soon as a foreigner steps on U.S soil should they be considered a U.S citizen or should immigration stay illegal for those who do not go through the naturalization process?
Many people may look down on immigration because they see immigrants just coming to the United States and ?taking? jobs from less fortunate Americans, which in all honestly those Americans are not willing to do those jobs anyways, but that still remains to be a huge debate. Americans tend to frown upon immigration because if immigrants take the time to actually come to this country, they should take the time to become a legalized citizen of the U.S, but even if immigrants did so would Americas opinions really change?
Another problem people see with immigrants is the increase of population, some may see this as a huge dilemma and in some eyes it is completely true, but at the same time immigrants come to this country wanting to start a new life. When you know that is what immigration pretty much means then maybe immigrants would have a better chance at starting a new life in the U.S. Immigration happens to more countries then just one, and I am sure the citizens are equally upset at the effects immigration has on their country as well. Immigrants may come to this country and take away a few American jobs or even some of America?s homes but if these spots are open and no one is willing to take them then why should someone be denied the right to all of these things just because they truly are not a legal citizen.
Another question that is asked very often is why would a foreigner be willing to put his or her life on the line to come to the country and not want to make their residency legal, if the hard part of their journey is already out of the way. Why would they not want to take the time to make their stay legal when the...

...said, ? I don?t think immigrants have the right to become a U.S citizen as soon as they migrate to the U.S.? Ms. Woods believed that immigrants definitely should have to go through the naturalization process, and that they should earn the right to live in this country. Which she does have a good point about, and I do believe immigrants should earn the right to come and stay in this country legally, but when you look at many Americans do you really think that most of them deserve to live in this country in the first place? Frankly, most do not.
Immigration can be looked at through two different sets of eyes, from one person?s point of view, they may see immigration as being a horrible attribute to obtain because they would say how all the immigrants are taking jobs U.S citizens might need and they may think that I immigrants are over populating the United States. Through someone else?s eyes immigration can be looked at as a good thing because immigrants tend to take jobs the average American may not want. Both point of views contain very good points but still make it difficult to decide if immigration should become legalized or stay illegal without the proper paper work.
Education experts have spent many years planning and revising learning material and assessment tools to meet the demands of diverse learners coming into the 21st century. Educators have responded to this demand by becoming more aware of the need for a multicultural education program that helps meet the needs of each diverse learner, examining their own attitudes and bias opinions toward minority students, and acknowledging the important role every stakeholder plays in providing an equal education to every learner. However, in spite of these efforts, there is still a growing concern for the achievement gap that remains evident among students. Despite some evidence of success and strong progress by black, Hispanic, and socioeconomic disadvantaged students from 1970 to 1988, the education reform efforts of the last decade have not enabled significant numbers of students to become educationally competitive or to close the gaps in achievement (Lee, 2001).
Over the past several weeks, I have researched, read, and learned many new things regarding the topic of multicultural education. I have learned that all children should be taught to treat others with dignity and respect not matter what their culture, race, or family structure. I have also learned how important it is for teachers to explore multicultural education on a daily bases because it is necessary for the academic success for students how originate from different backgrounds.
It has been a long debated topic whether or not America should continue to let immigrants enter the country. Often, the immediate response would be to withhold more immigrants to come in since there are many existing immigrants already living everywhere around the United States. But the truth is that the immigrants who come in are undoubtedly helping America much more than they harm it. Examples of how the immigrants help would be the economy becoming more powerful, diverse culture, more variety, and even creating job opportunities. By maintaining an open gate for immigrants, the benefits that they bring will definitely outweigh the problems which will create a greater America.
The "Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Gilman is a great story about the repression of women in the late 1800's but is still representative of issues faced by women today. She writes from her own personal experiences and conveys a message that sometimes in a male dominated society women suffer from the relentless power that some men implement over women.
Second of all, immigrants are taking jobs in the United States, but they are taking the jobs that Americans do not want because of the pay and extraneous hard labor. Most immigrants work in factories, small businesses, or farms. One thing that I disagree with is that the illegal immigrants have a good and bad effect to the economy and the country. For example in the new we mostly hear about some of the illegal immigrants are committing a crime and not applying for visa. Sometimes they even still others social security numbers. Illegal immigrants some not all sometimes bring drugs into the USA which I think is the most dangerous thing they can do besides kill. One problem in today 's society is people view all immigrants as labor workers. People tend to believe that immigrants "threaten" American life by causing unemployment. Employers think that they are doing us a big favor by hiring immigrants for under wage and not hiring people that are born in the USA cause we do not like to be worked for under the state law of minimum
Immigration is the greatest part of American history. In the beginning, Immigrants brought a vast variety of cultures and beliefs and turned America in to the beauty it is today. Immigrants are still doing this. However, the issue with immigration can be it 's illegal status. Many undocumented immigrants are entering this country causing questions among the American citizens. Rather than asking if this is right or wrong, a solution can be found. Illegal immigrants come here for a purpose and can be helped with this purpose. Most come fleeing persecution, although some come here for more demented reasons. Those, illegal immigrants will be done away with. However, Those immigrants who come here for pure reasons need to be taken Care of in proper
Currently, today in the world that we live in, immigration is a very popular topic of discuss. Immigration has been occurring for a great deal of time and is still taking place today. In the past there were many problems with incoming strangers entering our country and bringing with them different customs. With unfamiliar attributes being presented to the nation in such a way, caused conflict between the native as well as the aliens. Some complications that were presented a century ago are still being dealt with now, and the others are no long occurring during this era.Immigration does not only include one ethnicity; It includes every enthicity that is coming from a country to settle down in our country from their native country. A msn by the name of Jacob Rii did several interviews on immigrants that were entering the country during the 1890s. During his interviews he discovered the many problems that the immigrants were facing and introducing into the United States.
Immigrants are important part of our society and contribute to our economy in a great manner. They bring in new talent, jobs, and money into our economy thus maintain an efficient and structured economy. The issues about legalizing illegal immigrant have caused a great disrupt in today’s society since people mostly have a negative connotation about legalizing illegal immigrant. People need to look at the economy as a whole rather than from an individual viewpoint in order to understand the benefits of immigrants in our economy. We also need to understand that our ancestors were also immigrants in this country and if they had the right to live in this country, so do the people who are immigrants. Legalizing immigrants would cause a great disrupt in our society and economy, but it will surely be beneficial as a whole.
Immigration is a growing problem in this country. It is our job as its natural born citizens of this country to take care of our own people first. We need to figure out own problems out before we adopt other countries and people’s, or else we will not be able to take care either one. Immigrants steal jobs from people who are more deserving of them. Along with that they also take those people government benefits too, and above all they can be dangerous to the American population regardless if they are legal or illegal. Although immigration can be coud to the American population, as a country, we cannot afford to keep letting more and more people into the
Immigration has always been a large conflict people have faced all across the world. There are plenty of reasons why people migrate to a country, whether it may be the United States or any other particular one. Many people often come in an attempt to escape poverty, crime, or to simply have a better opportunity to better their lifestyle. Although there are people who migrate and commit severe crimes, there are others who sacrifice themselves in order to live a better life. In addition to that, I believe the government should approve new immigration laws in favor of immigrants who come to better their life and achieve their dreams.
Nonetheless, it is true that immigration has its own flaws. The oppose side against immigration argue that with no restriction with immigration this country will be facing national problems. It will be freely open to terrorism and crimes. Immigrants are more likely to bring up the crime rates that this country already has. Immigrants dont bring the good this country, they want inpose a culture that this country is not and they are just taking the jobs away. Immigrants dont intregate to the american culture, they dispate it and want to change it. In the article “Too Many: Looking Today’s Immigration in the Face“ Steve Camarota says, “immigration: a social phenemon of enormous signficance, affecting everything from nation’s schools to the
In class, we would always explore how other countries celebrated their holidays such as Cinco De Mayo and Hanukkah, We also had the opportunity to take foreign language,s and the foreign language classes you took also taught about the countries that speak these languages. The information we learned about other cultures was reinforced by our peers who were from these respective cultures through discussion. As much as what the teachers did to integrate diversity in the classrooms, much of our multicultural experiences was done outside the classroom. It sort of felt like a shadow you didn’t really notice until for some reason or another you looked right at it. The multicultural experiences took place everywhere. It took place in the lunchroom, when we were debating what culture had the best food (which is still debated to this day, I’m sure). It took place suiting up in the locker room for a football game, reminiscing about what it was like to celebrate the holiday season the year before. It took place in our hearts, when someone was sharing their pain regardless of what culture we affiliated ourselves with because human culture is
The cultural diversity in society, which is reflected in schools, is forcing schools not to solely rely on content-centered curriculum, but to also incorporate student-centered lesson plans based on critique and inquiry. This requires multicultural education to a dominant part of the school system, not just an extra course or unit. Further, it demands that learning itself no longer be seen as obtaining knowledge but rather, education be seen as creating knowledge. Multicultural education should be seen as affirming the diversity of students and communities, promoting the multicultural ideas of the United States, and building the knowledge and behaviors needed for students to be a positive and contributing member of society and the global community as a whole.
While immigration for our country is good the ability to become a legal citizen has become insanely hard therefore leading immigrants to illegally cross our border, which negatively impacts our country.
Organizing involves determining the tasks to be done, which will do them, and how those tasks will be managed and coordinated. Managers of an organization have to put a work team together so that proper information, resources, and tasks can flow properly and efficiently in an organization.
