The Deaths of Romeo and Juliet
“Romeo and Juliet” is a love story between to people that ends out as
a tragedy. It is written by William Shakespeare. The causes of the
deaths of Romeo and Juliet could have been caused by a number of
different people. The nurse - she helped arrange the marriage and put
the ladder leading up to Juliet’s bedroom for Romeo. She infers and
speeds the romance up. The friar - he gave the potion to Juliet.
Also could have been the family feud or even their own fault.
Ultimately it is more than likely to have been a combination of a
number of peoples fault caused by their actions and ways of getting
involved, but Romeo and Juliet have paid the maximum consequences
caused by others because everyone had a part to play from the play.
We have evidence that it could have been almost any one of the
characters fault.
The deaths of Romeo and Juliet could have been caused by the family
feud because they cannot be honest to their parents; they have to keep
their love a secret. They cannot tell there parents their true
feelings because of the feud between the two families. So they are
left keeping it to themselves or someone close that is not direct
family. Juliet says, “O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny
thy father and refuse thy name, or if thou wilt not be but sworn my
love, and I’ll no longer be a Capulet”. It means that she wishes that
Romeo wasn’t a Montague, so she wants him to have a different name.
Also because of the family feud Romeo kills Tybalt leading to him
being banished and Juliet’s and Paris’ wedding to be arranged. It
speeds up the tragedy. Capulet's wife says, “To put thee from thy
heariness, hath sorted out a sudden day of joy/ that than expects
not”. This could be responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet
