According to “Death Penalty”, Every day, people are executed by the state as punishment for a variety of crimes – sometimes for acts that should not be criminalized. In some countries it can be for who you sleep with, in others it is reserved for acts of terror and murder.Some countries execute people who were under 18 years old when the crime was committed, others use the death penalty against people who suffer mental problems. Before people die they are often imprisoned for years on “death row”. Not knowing when their time is up, or whether they will see their families one last time (www.amnesty.org).
Degrading humans based off of what they did or what they are “accused” of doing isn’t morally right. Especially if they have family, every person should have the right to live, no matter what that person might have done. According to “Death Penalty”, The …show more content…

"Along with two-thirds of the American public, I believe in capital punishment. I believe that there are some defendants who have earned the ultimate punishment our society has to offer by committing murder with aggravating circumstances present. I believe life is sacred. It cheapens the life of an innocent murder victim to say that society has no right to keep the murderer from ever killing again. In my view, society has not only the right, but the duty to act in self defense to protect the innocent."

Many others agree to the right to take the life of one 's life because of the harm and suffering they put others into. Not only does it save one’s life, but many others. Many people think that doing this is a great way to stop the atrocities that has been happening.
