In “The Dark Side of College (Un)affordability,” authors Katharine Broton and Sara Goldrick-Rab take a formal approach to enlighten those who may be unaware of the financial challenges that many college students face as well as persuade those who may be in a position to help improve the lives of those struggling with food and housing insecurity in higher education. Financial burden hinders a student’s learning and creates a negative impact on their education as well as their health.
