The Longnose Gar and Mudpuppy are both native species that can be found in Ohio. The Gar gets its name from the long nose that is very similar looking to a beak of a bird. The Gar in the lab is brownish grey with black spots, but in the wild they do have a range of colors. Their size is often a wide range as well. Some Longnose Gars can grow to be up to 6ft, but it is common for them to be between 3 and 4 feet long (Groves ). The gar in this lab is about a foot long, so smaller than those in the wild. The other animal in the tank is the mudpuppy. Mudpuppies are common all over the northeast United States. They are also called the waterdog which is because they are the only salamander that makes noise (National geographic: Mudpuppy). They mainly stay at the bottom of the lakes and body of water where they feed. Both the mudpuppy and the Longnose gar’s conservation status are common.

In many areas, the deer have adapted to eat primarily agricultural crops (crops grown by humans). In many parts of the country, a deer’s diet may consist of up to 50% farm grown corn. Obviously the deer eat some native foods, such as some trees and bushes, particularly buck brush and rose, but along with small amounts of dogwood, chokecherry, plum, red cedar, pine, and many other species of plants. Forbs, particularly sunflowers, are important, however grasses and sedges are used only briefly in spring and fall.
It allows them to live long because they have two different genes in them and it also allows them to survive anywhere in the world because their fur is mixed. They have brown fur that allows them to be on land for a long amount of time and they have white fur which allows them to live in the snow and let them stay in freezing water for a long amount of time.
Adelges tsugae also commonly known as the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA), a bug less than 1.5 mm long and dark in color. They are part of the Adelgidae family, having an asexual and sexual generation life cycle with all generations laying eggs (Havill, Nathan, and Salom 2014, 1). HWA originates from Asia and is accidentally brought to the United State in the 20th century. In the United State, the HWA flourish greatly because there are no natural predators, and the hemlocks in the United State are not adapted to HWA feeding compared with the one in Asia. So, without anything limiting the HWA, their population increases rapidly with the abundant food. With the increase in HWA density on the hemlock, trees will die faster and prematurely which destroys the ecosystem.
The winter will last 8 to 10 months followed by the short and much less cold summer. During the summer some lower areas of the Tundra will defrost at which point most of the flora and fauna will start to creep out of hiding. The few summer months are used by many animals such as the polar bear, to mate and to prepare for the once again oncoming winter. During the winter months, most everything remains frozen. Many of the animals migrate south for the winter whereas some stay behind or even group together for ritual group suicide (lemmings).

In his realistic wartime novel, All Quiet on the Western Front, Erich Maria Remarque utilizes animal and nature imagery in order to reflect the destructiveness of war. Initially, as the gang trundles towards the front line in the truck and the artillery shells begin to whistle, "...there is suddenly in our veins...a tense waiting...a strange sharpening of senses. The body with one bound is in full readiness," (54). As this change in their blood occurs, the men become more animalistic, more aware and alert, losing their humanity to primal instinct in order to survive. With shocking ease, Paul and his veteran friends accept this change and manage to barely flinch as the bombing begins, demonstrating their war-hardened attitude. However, they
Cats and dogs are fun to play with and fun to be around. However, some people go for snakes, birds, or rodents; most people usually prefer a four-legged animal like a cat or dog. Dogs and cats share seldom similarities, but they 're totally different. They have different attitudes, habits, and needs. Wanting love, loyalty, and protection, a dog is a choice. Cats, on the other hand, don 't need attention nor love. Sometimes do we take advantage of our animals because of their size and vulnerability? Beating, improper care, and use of fighting, causes harm to our furry pets. Inflicting pain and making our animals suffer is atrocious. Because our animals can 't speak for themselves, we need to speak for them and stop animal abuse.
