The Current Status of Computers and their Future Trend

Introduction
Computer is playing a more and more important role in our daily life. People using their computers nearly every minutes, while they are traveling on the public transports, working in their office, studying at school and entertaining at home. This article would describe the current status of computers, criticize the current status, discuss the future trends of computers and describe a few wishes of mine towards the future of computers.

Current Status of computers
1. Education
Computers have been widely used in education. First of all, computers are used for doing and handing in homework. Not only secondary school students and college students, primary school students and even kindergarten students need to do online homework or use computers to assist their study. Such a trend may due to the convenience and interactivity of computers. According to the report of Census and Statistics Department, more than 99% of interviewees aged from 10 to 24 had used personal computers and access to the Internet in the past 12 months before interviewed. It shows that computers and Internet are common and popular among the younger generation. The high penetration of computers among them would facilitate their study. For, senior students, they may use the computers and the Internet to do research and get information they want easily. For the junior students, their parents or teachers may guide them to use computers for searching information or use some interactive educational software to initiate them to learning intention.
