Ancient Egypt was and still is a fascinating topic, the Egyptians astonish many people because of their culture, architecture, and their religion, and this is clearly shown in and through modern day. Their culture and architecture were both very advanced, along side was their religion which was also very complicated.
The culture of the ancient Egyptians is incredible. The Egyptians were one of the first major civilizations with a set of laws and rules. In Egypt, every boy attended a temple school, both noble and regular boys went to school(Desriches-Noblecourt, p.29). Along side the men, women had some authority in Egypt. The fascination with Egypt started in 1801 during the Napoleonic Expedition to Egypt. People loved Egypt and their culture after then, with many European archeologists taking treasures from the tombs and putting them on display in museums(Fazzini, p. 34). The types of things the Egyptians influenced include; video games, Architecture, and even art. Starting with games, there is one game in particular which takes a very in-depth look into the ancient Egyptian culture and that game is Assassin’s Creed: Origins. Assassin’s Creed, or AC for short, shows quite literally the daily lives of the Egyptians with day and night cycles and showing where they go through their daily lives. They also show, in the temples, the rituals performed for embalming and worshiping the gods. The architectural influence are some pyramids. With art the influence, it is quite interesting. The art that is influenced is one such as an album cover for a band called Iron Maiden. The art was not just used to style modern day art it was also used to show the Egyptian culture.
