Technology is the world’s leading industry today because of the fact that it has changed society in every field. Well, why has computer technology prospered through recent years? The answer is very simple, Apple Inc. Apple products have a significant impact on our society due to their stellar design and unique shape, their durability, and their many creative applications. Apple was started and 2established by Steve Jobs, Ronald Wayne, and Steve Wozniak on April 1, 1976. Since then the CEO of Apple has been Steve Jobs. Throughout his career in the computer industry, Steve Jobs has been called tyrannical, mercurial, brilliant, and a revolutionary man because he has brought the world a Mac, an IPhone, and a new way of living with technology (Collins 1). Apple made its biggest turning point on October 23, 2001 when the first generation IPod was released. This changed the industry of MP3 players and the way people listen to music. IPod has influenced people's lives because you can take it everywhere you go, download music on the go, and pick the perfect one that suits your personality. "The new IPod chromatic range brings some great new features to the IPods, with fantastic colors, and a design that makes other Mp3 players hang their heads in shame” (Harrison 3). People love iPods so much that they started writing poetry about them. A man named Phil Chapman, wrote the poem "Life with an IPOD", which describes all the features in an iPod, making it sound like a "living thing." The poem is narrated in the first-person point of view. The poem is directly related to my topic because my topic is about how the Apple industry changed the world of technology and the poem also explains how an Apple product has benefited society. The author of... ... middle of paper ... ..., but let's face it for most users, a Mac cost more than a PC” (Pegoraro 1). Most users are not looking for a top of the line computer, but one that will work for their limited use for a reasonable price. None the less, the commercials are just a television advertising campaign created for Apple Inc. These commercials have many reasons why a Mac is better than a PC. There are many reasons why Apple has been prospering through the years, but the biggest reason is that the engineers at Apple build their computers and products with high quality. All of the different operating systems that their products use are very clean, smooth, and fast. People who want to stand out from the majority buy Apple gadgets because they are the newer technology on the market. They also have that great feeling walking around with that nice apple carved on the back of their iPhone and iPod.
In today 's era, there are a lot of companies that provide services all around the world that benefit everyone. Some of those companies provide only internet, while others provide that and/or the device used with the internet. One of the most popular companies that exists as of today is the Apple Company. The Apple Company was founded back in 1976 and its main thing was to create and produce computers and other electronics such as music players, cellular phones, and other merchandises. But the company became quite known, and as of today, it sells from just phone cases to televisions.
Apple Inc. is a worldwide company that is one of the most valuable brands to ever be founded. As of today, the company is worth a staggering $786 billion! The reasons behind this giant company’s success is through their products that they sell. All their products are very well made and the customer loyalty is very stable. Apple was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in 1976. They incorporated the company in 1977. For more than three decades, Apple was predominantly a company that sold personal computers including the Apple II, Macintosh, and the Power Mac. Steve Jobs was fired from the company in 1985 because of the poor sales and low market share that the company was facing. During that time, Apple started to be more of the innovators. Because Apple was starting to make enough money to start acquiring smaller companies that benefited the company, Steve Jobs’
Apple Inc. originated out of California in 1976. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak dropped out of college together to begin making technology in their garage. Apple’s technology skyrocketed becoming one of the top technology producing companies. They fell short in the nineties though, companies began to catch up and now there was more competition than before. Apple released their ipod in 2001, putting them back in the leadof the technology industry (The History of Apple). Presently, Apple is still exceeding other companies in the technology industry, such as Microsoft, Blackberry, Google and Hewlett Packard. Microsoft is Apple’s largest competitor, which is revealed through the Dupont analysis and other activity ratios, these particular ratios also make known that Apple’s numbers are not all accurate.
All might think that a PC is awesome, but is not called Windows for nothing. When they say Windows they mean Windows. Macintosh has been known for it’s simplicity. Windows users say Mac has no games. I say to them there are games, but if you want to “play games” get a game system. Macs give a new vision in the computer industry.

It was Steve Jobs who made Apple leave the garage and make leaps and bounds in the world of technology. Steve Wozniak made the first prototype, but it was Jobs who “saw the potential” in his computer and persuaded Wozniak to sell it (Peterson 106). Even though that first computer saw very little success, Jobs knew that Apple had potential and so released the Apple II. From the beginning Jobs knew what the consumers wanted, and where computers were going to take the world; he had a vision of the opportunities in technology and saw that Apple needed to move in a different direction. In 1984, one year before he left, Jobs finished the Macintosh computer system. He was pushed from his original computer design project, “the Lisa”, and then raced to release the Mac first, but the Lisa was released to the public first. Although the Lisa came out first, the Mac “[became] synonymous with Apple, mark[ing] a…revolution in…personal computing,” (Peterson 106).
Apple is “the world’s most colorful company,” Linzmayer, Owen . Apple Confidential 2.0. 1st. San Francisco, CA: No Starch Press, 2004. When looking at its meager beginnings Apple’s influence on the media could only be described as unique. Their product, style, and overall beliefs make the Apple Corporation a multi-billion dollar company with a general appeal for all ages. It is getting harder and harder to be an individual, so with Apple you can “rise above the norm” and be unique. Recently, this unique corporation has taken the media by storm, with their new line of products. Right along side these new products are a full line of new commercials to go along with them. These new commercials spawned from years of creative marketing done on Apple’s part. Studying the history of Apple is necessary to understanding their influence upon us today.
Computers and technology makes it easier for entrepreneurs to enter this market. Not only are major tech companies competing against one another, but they are also competing against little programmers that know how to code. In our time you will never know with certainty when a small group of engineers or computer scientists are going to create, “next big thing”. Apple has been able to have a competitive advantage over its competitor by creating the highest quality products and services. Some of Apple’s current competitors are Microsoft, Google, and Facebook, and a few other tech companies as well. “It had changed the high-tech industry, particularly Apple. By the end of 2005, Apple Computer had sold more than 42million iPods at prices ranging from $99 to $599.”( Steven Levy pg. 3). The iPod was a complete success by the innovation of storing large quantities of music into such a tiny gadget. This was a device that devastated the population with a great jump in technology. People worldwide adored the ability to carry this small iPod around with the greatest of ease. Society has forever changed because of the iPod. The iPod has changed how most purchase music too. With the interlocking combination of iTunes, Steve Jobs was able to create such multi-accessible information with the ability to organize our music, create preferences, mix/mash variety, and find some music not normally found in stores. Steve Jobs was able to successfully create this “iPod” to only further our progress in
