Recommended: what is success
Success is defined differently amongst everyone due to people having different interpretations of what it means to be successful. In general, success means the accomplishment of a purposeful goal. However, this goal can be anything to anyone, hence the difficulty of one true definition of success. My personal definition of success includes the meaning that an individual is pleased with their career, their lifestyle, and their contribution to society. That being said, I recently had the pleasure to interview someone who is successful in my eyes. I met my interviewee while attending my younger sister’s school open house. At the open house, I had the opportunity to meet and converse with all of my sister’s teachers, however, the only one that …show more content…
Not necessarily meaning an individual is required to have wealth and money to be successful, but instead, they should be comfortable, satisfied, and grateful for their lifestyle. According to Ms. C, she has the best lifestyle with a wonderful home and family. She stated that her home is not the most magnificent or ostentatious place, but it is, in fact, the warmest and loveliest place for her family. Even Ms. C stated that she felt as if she was a millionaire since she was financially stable and her family was doing well. The fact that she was this content on a teacher salary was quite surprising, yet uplifting to hear. They must take pride and pleasure in their career, be completely at ease and comfortable with their lifestyle, and should illustrate some sense of compassion for contributing back to society. Due to all these characteristics, Ms. C is, without a doubt, an extremely successful person. As I myself want to become a mathematics teacher for high school students, I sincerely view Ms. C as a wonderful mentor who I aspire to be like. Furthermore, anyone who wants to become successful should consider Ms. C’s ideals. They can surely lead anyone to live a successful life owing to the fact that her ideas clearly illustrate the broader definition of success. As recalled, success is defined as the achievement of goals and Ms. C evidently represented multiple accomplishments towards goals in her life. Although all goals are different for everyone, Ms. C’s goals accomplished are significant ones that many people should aim to

After reading articles from (David Brooks, Garth Kemerling, Al Gini, Natasha Trethewey). Touching basis on self-responsibility, is the start of creating a good person in life and to become a great person for yourself and others, you have to realize and face your own faults.
