The Character: The God of Cake
Have you ever read a story where you feel like you are the main character?
Recently, I had a chance to read one interesting web comic called the God of Cake, written by Allie Brosh. The plot is basically about one girl who loves to eat cake and willing to do anything for only a piece of cake. The God of Cake describes the writer’s childhood experience, as well as, reminds me of myself. This leads to the identification of myself to the girl character in the story.
The following paragraphs are describing the girl’s character in the God of Cake and explaining why I identify myself with this character.

The Girl’s character
The girl in the story is very young and innocent. In her point of view, her mother’s cake is her precious, as she stated in the very beginning of the story, “To a child, it was a thing of wonder- half toy, half candy and all glorious possibility.” Moreover, her innocence is expressed through the caption, as she said that she could not open the locked door because she had not yet learned the art of lock-picking.
