Just like taking care of people who are alive it is also very important to take care of the dead. The profession of a coroner is a very detailed and thought out process that Takes awhile to accomplish. While becoming a coroner it is not necessary to go to college, but it is tremendously beneficial because the elected spot is only given to someone who has the skills, education, and mindset to analyze the deceased. Before starting conservatoire it will take a small amount of research to find the courses needed to take because of the low requirements of being a coroner. First looking at different sciences or fields of medicine is a wise decision because someone will most likely not get the job of a coroner right after high school even though …show more content…
To become a RN, registered nurse, many classes are necessary to graduate. Classes that are needed include basic nutrition, chemistry, psychology, human anatomy (structure of the body), physiology (how the body functions), human development, microbiology (germs) and Nursing Science (“Choose Nursing”). These are just some of the classes you will need. Bradley is a top ranked school in Illinois that has a outstanding amount of people who graduate yearly. The university is located in Peoria, Illinois and was founded in 1897. They offer more than 183 graduate and undergraduate programs. Every Teacher is very devoted to help students understand and succeed in the classes they have (“About Bradley University”). In human anatomy students will learn the structure of living things. This will be taught in various was like through lectures or labs. The labs will be hands on work of dissecting an animal or human to see where all the parts are located and where they are under the skin. While in that class students will be introduced to many topics such as structure of the musculoskeletal, nervous, circulatory, immune, respiratory, digestive, and reproductive systems. Physiology is a class where students learn about organ system and the function of cells within the their biological systems. While in the class students learn about the organ system as a
Crime scene investigators, also known as CSIs, have played an essential role in protecting citizens, by proving who is guilty, and who is innocent. CSIs use a large amount of Science and Math skills to solve crimes, resulting in a decent income. They are specialized in forensic science in order to examine crime scenes and recover important evidence (Career Cruising).
I chose to research the profession of a homicide detective. This profession interests me because I find solving a puzzle satisfying, by picking up the pieces (evidence) and fitting them together I can solve the mystery of the homicide. This of course is something I will have to work toward, as I cannot become one right out of the gate. First I will have to be a police officer. I have to be a police officer first because I need to gain experience in the criminal justice world and with victims/ suspects. Depending on the town I choose to pursue my career in I could have to start as a patrol officer or at a jail. I am doing things now to try and set myself apart from other candidates so if the time does ever come for a promotion I can be one step
What is a mortician, and what exactly do people in this profession do? Morticians have many different responsibilities, most of their responsibilities revolve around taking care of the dead, helping the living go through the grieving process, and managing a funeral home. Being a mortician is not a career for everyone. Because morticians often have to work around the dead and the grieving many people would find the job emotionally exhausting and stressful. The schooling required to become a mortician is a deciding factor in whether or not a mortician or funeral director will be employed in their industry. Without morticians and funeral directors, funerals would not be what they are today. Choosing to be a mortician is not for everyone; morticians have an important role in modern day society as well as a challenging one.
The road to becoming a forensic anthropologist starts with a realistic self-assessment. Students must be prepared to spend up at least eight years studying and training in school for a doctoral degree needed to practice forensic anthropology with law enforcement agencies. However, students must face the fact that the majority of forensic anthropologists work in universities and only occasionally consult with law enforcement on cases from time to time. Almost all forensic anthropologists are either professors or researchers. Students who do practice hands-on forensic anthropology must be prepared to deal with cadavers, disturbing cases and decomposing body materials. Once students overcome these obstacles, they should join an appropriate degree program.
The nursing field is always constantly growing, with people wanting to persue the career of bring new life into the world. To start this career people have to have a certain amount of education to learn about the job and how to do it. Starting early is always a great thing to keep in mind when thinking about the future. Author Kate Prudchenko says “Students in high school can prepare for these programs by taking core science courses like chemistry and biology, or they may be able to start their associate’s degree coursework while completing their high school diploma.” Taking chemistry may help the student learn how to balance equations and understand exactly how to handle chemicals in the laboratory and understand how they work. By taking biology in high school can help students get use to analyzing prenatal development and reproductive systems or may even introduce laboratory work. Labor and Delivery nurses dont just need a scientific background but also a background in humanities and social sciences to better prepare...
Unlike Police Officers Police detective don’t have to wear a uniform. Police detectives gather facts and collect evidence from criminal cases. When detectives try to figure out a crime scene they collect all the evidence needed to help them figure out the truth about what happened and who was responsible. This includes making an exploratory and final investigation. Becoming a detective might be quite hard, unless you are good at what you are supposed to do.
Obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and passing the licensing exam to become a Registered Nurse (RN) must be done first. The curriculum for attaining the degree relies heavily on sciences; mainly biology, chemistry, and anatomy and physiology. After receiving the RN license, the person must have at least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience to begin the process of becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner. Once an RN has obtained the requisite experience, they need to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing degree and take the licensing exam to become a nurse practitioner. The master’s degree program focuses heavily on Health Sciences such as health promotion, advanced pathophysiology, advanced pharmacology, nursing theory, and any other specialized courses. (“Nurse Practitioner Educational Requirements”). With the multitude of pediatric nursing specialties available, the student may have to take many different classes. If, for example, the person wants to go into pediatric oncology, they may have to take classes in nutrition, microbiology, reproductive health, oncology, and child and adolescence health. They would also need around one thousand hours of pediatric oncology training and clinical work to get them ready (“How Would I Be a Pediatric Oncology

Forensic pathologists are the people who determine the cause and time of death if the deceased person died under suspicious circumstances, whether they be violent or not. They determine if the death was accidental, a homicide, natural, a suicide, or even if the cause of death was unknown. They do this by studying said victim’s medical history, evaluating the crime scene for evidence, studying the body for any clues, and performing an autopsy. After determining the cause, time, and the manner in which the victim died, forensic pathologists make a written report on the victim and sometimes testify in court to report their findings.

Imagine pulling into your driveway and seeing your neighbor’s house surrounded by police, flashing lights, and caution tape with bodies covered in white sheet on the lawn. It was a drive by shooting. Next, a van pulls up and a Criminal Investigator steps out and starts assessing the crime scene. She begins taking photos, marking shell casings, packaging evidence, documenting tire treads on the pavement and inspecting and collecting DNA evidence from the bodies. Criminal Investigators are highly trained college graduates that are a vital part of bringing criminals to justice.
The education level chosen depends on what kind of forensic job you are interested in and what salary you are going for. Most entry-level forensic positions require a bachelor’s degree in forensic or natural science (see Anne 1996). Undergraduate programs consist of toxicology, biochemistry, and criminal justice classes. The American Academy of Forensic Sciences also recommends English classes. This is because forensic scientists need very honed written and oral communication capabilities to write detailed reports and testify to physical evidence in court.
According to the American academy of forensic science, the forensic sciences form a vital part if the entire justice and regulatory system. Forensic science is an enticing career having to do with science and criminal justice, a large variety of schooling is needed to start this job Despite the fact that it can be a dangerous environment it can be an exciting profession to pursue. There are many different fields in forensic science that you can study or major in but they all have the same objectives.
Classes needed with this major is mathematics, chemistry, and baccalaureate track allied health class. Once graduated they will have to take and pass the NCLEX-RN, a national exam to practice as a registered nurse. Conventional BSN programs take around four years to complete.
