Believe it or not, the Canon EOS Rebel T3i was released following the Great Japan Earthquake in 2011. In March 2011, the Japanese-based company Canon Incorporated released a new generation of the digital single-lens reflex camera, or DSLR for short. Canon launched the Canon EOS Rebel T3i in North America, which is considered by many consumers as one of the best DSLR cameras Canon has ever made. The camera itself came from a series of EOS Rebel cameras which began almost 14 years ago, and the model of the T3i became a basis for models of future EOS cameras. Consumers are able to use the camera easily without difficulty, and the camera alone is equivalent to higher classes of cameras out there. Compared to other DSLR cameras Canon has made over the years, the T3i is the most acclaimed DSLR camera the company has made in recent memory. To summarize, the Canon EOS Rebel T3i should be donated to the Smithsonian because it is considered to be one of the best cameras in the EOS family, the camera’s model came from a model of an earlier EOS camera, and the camera has new and updated features that came from older cameras. There is a lot of background information regarding the EOS Rebel T3i and the camera alone has a big significance to consumers. Released in March 2011, the T3i is alternately called the EOS 600D in European countries, and it is also called the EOS Kiss X5 in Japan (“Camera Hall - Digital SLR”). Estimating at around $500 to $600, the T3i is one of the first cameras Canon has made to record in Full High-Definition, which is 1920 by 1080 pixels. There are many features to the T3i that make it unique from older cameras, such as the fact that the T3i features Live View shooting and a LCD screen that flips around and ro... ... middle of paper ... ...mera Design : EOS REBEL T3i / EOS 600D (2/4). For much of the nineteenth century, cameras were made in relatively small numbers; crafted out of expensive materials like brass, mahogany and leather, putting it out of the reach of the general public. The most significant event in amateur photography by far was the introduction of the Kodak camera in 1888, invented and marketed by American businessman and entrepreneur George Eastman. Eastman realized that there was a huge untapped market of people who wanted to take their own photographs if they were given the means to do so. The Kodak was...
TIROS stands for Television Infrared Observation Satellite. The satellite weighs 270 pounds, 42 inches in diameter, and has a height of 19 inches. The satellite was launched into space by a Thor-Able rocket. The TIROS satellite carries with it, two six-inch long television cameras. One of the cameras has a wide-angle lens that could view an 800 mile radius of the earth at a time. The other camera has a photographic lens with a 10-12 power magnification over the wide angle camera. The satellite is stabilized in its orbit by spinning (similar to that of a top). When it first separates from the rocket's third stage, it will be spinning at about 136 revolutions per minute. To take clear pictures, a de-spin mechanism will slow the satellite down to 12 revolutions per minute after ...

Leica introduced a small format 35mm camera in 1925. This smaller machine revolutionized the way photographers could transport the camera, as they could photograph discretely in all situations. (Uk.leica-camera.com, n.p.) Leica are considered a premium brand camera, well built and precise ensuring the images they create are quality. Leica, who are still a camera maker, have photographic galleries in Frankfurt, Los Angles, New York, Salzburg and Tokyo, alternating exhibitions of work that the Magnum Photographers captured. Eastman Kodak Company is one of the world's largest manufacturers of photographic equipment. It develops, manufactures, and markets photographic and chemical products for both amateur and professional photographers. The company's other products include X-ray films, pharmaceuticals, copier-duplicators, acetate fibers, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, and videocassettes. Kodak also provides film and equipment for commercial fields such as the healthcare and motion picture industries. Kodak also manufactures photographic equipment for the government’s aerial, space, and other scientific needs, including the fabled satellite reconnaissance cameras that can read a license plate from orbit—at least according to the lore of the Cold War.
Photography has come a long way from the heliograph to the digital photograph. Throughout the history of photography there has always been a popular demand for a faster and more precise way to create the image; dating back to 1837 when the first ever Daguerreotype made its appearance in France. The Daguerreotype required only 3-30 minutes of exposure time to create an extremely detailed representation of nature. Along with the need of accuracy, came the need for making multiple copies of the same image. With this new need came the collodian, which could not only create an exact replica of the world, but could also create multiple copies of that replica. In the pursuit of extreme precision and multiplicity we have arrived at the era of digital photography. The first ever-recorded attempt to build a digital camera came in 1975 by Kodak.

Kodak is the world’s foremost imaging innovator. George Eastman put the first simple camera into the hands of a world of consumers in 1888. In so doing, he made a cumbersome and complicated process easy to use and accessible to nearly everyone. Since that time, the Eastman Kodak Company has led the way with an abundance of new products and processes to make photography simpler, more useful and more enjoyable. With sales of $13.3 billion in 2006, the company is committed to a digitally oriented growth strategy focused on helping people better use meaningful images and information in their life and work. (Kodak, 2007)
In almost all areas, photography is used. From 1827-2014, it is still present and still being enhanced. From film photographs to digital photographs, camera companies today keep improving their cameras. They keep enhancing their cameras to produce better quality and resolution for photographs. Even non-professional photographers today buy and use their own camera to take their own photographs. Even cellphones today have their own built-in cameras.
