God made me exactly as He saw fit to create me, so why would I want to change His vision He has for me? I am not an overly outgoing person, and trying to act like an extrovert has only made me more frustrated and seemingly less effective when it came to spreading my faith. Instead of trying to keep up with the world’s view of what an Evangelical Christian should look like, I find myself being drawn to becoming more faithful to God’s custom idea of how I should be living my life and how I should evangelize with others. God designed me in a special way to know that if I kept trying to share God’s word with others like someone else, my message would become lost in the chaos. Evangelism is truly a team effort, so if I remember that not only do I have God on my side, but that I have the entire community support behind me.
This is more than coincidence. God was helping the family through the journey and making sure that they were okay. Jeremiah also personally experienced being led by God, who was th... ... middle of paper ... ...rough events such as miracles. The more He tries to communicate with us through these events, the more He hopes that we will discover him in our lives. The theme that Leif Enger wanted the readers to take away after reading this novel is that we should have faith in God.
As I opened the door leading into Guiding Light Mission, I felt a strong gust of air. I believe that was the breath of the Holy Spirit, filling my heart with love and compassion. In just a blink of an eye, the Holy Spirit changed my life. Before walking into Guiding Light, I did not know it existed. Further, I had only vague notions about the Heartside Neighborhood, yet God would use those two locations, where suffering abounds, to change my life.
If we stand strong through the trials and tests that God chooses to lay upon us, He will exalt us. As well, the example of Moses is conformant to our world today because he shows that God does not condemn those who have sinned against Him. Instead, God chooses to forgive us and look beyond our mistakes. This shows that God still has respect and compassion for those who have made mistakes. Even if we have done wrongdoing, we can still be chosen to be in the Kingdom of God.
Even though man can be dam... ... middle of paper ... ...ination and free will can both get the job done for God and his wishes for the earth. Humans always wonder has God already predestined our lives, or do we have the free will to decide how we want to live our lives. Free will always be strongly supported in Christianity but so will predestination. It’s not just those two subjects, there is also a group of people in the Christian faith that believe in both of them. There is logic behind all of the view points and there is a lot of information that goes with them too.
In 1 Samuel 28: 1-25 Yahweh guides Saul to his death because he has outright deceived and disobeyed God. This passage sets an example to obey Yahweh; otherwise he will inflict punishment upon the disobedient. It portrays that Yahweh's love, power, and covenant should never be taken for granted. Saul is, in essence, a pawn in an overall lesson and story by God. It is quite possible that the disobedience of God and punishment inflicted upon him was his very fate that only God could control.
Although God does not know the future he is still all knowing, which helps keep him more divine than humans. This does not mean God does not intervene. “Taking Jesus Christ as our standpoint, we can’t avoid concluding that God intervenes in the world” (Pg.109). No matter what a person decides to do with their free will God is able to work in every situation. God is so sovereign that he is able to work in the midst of mistakes and use them to relieve him and bring about his purpose.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1; 1, King James Version). The word of God is all powerful when he spoke things happened, one word from our master and mountains would move. The birth of Jesus was a prophecy that came to pass so this lets me know that this was foreseen as an act of love from our Lord and savior. Jesus giving of himself to save the soul and sins of man shows unconditional love that no one can compare to. God’s purpose impacts my worldview because of the lessons he taught, the miracles he performed, and the death and resurrection he faced.
Faith is the act of believing (Mappes, D. A. (2010). Our mark is to love one another despite differences. Christian worldview should not be confusing to anyone that is looking for salvation and wants their live to change for good. Jesus is the only way to God.
We also have this thought that we need certain things in life to be happy and that’s a lie. All we need is God, and we don’t need to live life thinking that we have to walk around pleasing everyone’s needs. The most important thing at the end of the day, Is that you pleased God and glorified him with your actions. Many relationships come our way in life, but the most important relationship is the one you share with God. This book also talks about having ... ... middle of paper ... ...us to help us grow in one giant body of Christ.
