With any medicine or vaccine there are bond side effects. This is something that weighs heavily on a parents mind. There are newborn babies being born every day, every minute. A little background on what a vaccine really is that it is given by an injection, these injections can be take by mouth or by a nasal spray depending on the person. “The first instance of vaccine promotion in the United States was in 1721 when Cotton Mather, a Puritan minister, encouraged smallpox vaccination in response to an outbreak” (Vaccines). About 30 vaccine shots or immunizations are given to a child by the time the reach the age two. “The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends getting 28 doses of 10 vaccines for kids aged 0 to six” (Vaccines).
