According to the American heritage dictionary of English language, the big bang theory is a scientific theory describing the origin of all space, time, matter, and energy approximately 13.7 billion years ago from the violent expansion of a singular point of extremely high density and temperature. Basically, this means that the big bang theory is based on the fact that the universe originated from a big explosion billions of years ago, but its origin can be credited to Edwin Hubble. The theory of the big bang grew out of Einstein’s equations of general relativity. There are so many theories and ideas involved in the creation of relativity; some that disprove the big bang and some that affirm it. There are more theories that disprove the validity of the big bang than there are theories that affirm it. Here are some of the theories that affirm the validity of the big bang. As was written in the previous paragraph, the big bang theory grew out of Einstein’s equations of general relativity in which he related the form in which space is shaped to how matter is spread. And in the big bang theory, the universe (matter, space time, energy) is spread out as a result of an explosion. Do you now see the …show more content…
Biblically it is stated that God said "Lord, in the beginning you laid the foundation of the earth. With your own hands you made the heavens.” (Hebrews, 1:10). It is clearly stated here that God laid the foundation of the earth. Also, it states that “Heaven and earth will eventually disappear….” (Matthew, 24:35), this is in sync with the second law of thermodynamics which says that things will move from order to disarray… still disproving the validity of the big bang. Again, the bible also states that “… The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare“. Re-read that statement, it’s so true that it is almost
Yet, probably one of the most simplistic yet profound statements in the Bible is the one found at the beginning of the Bible, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth". The psalmist, the prophets, and the apostle have affirmed this simple yet magnificent verse. Although, it is the subject of much debate. The Bible assumes and never argues the existence of God. Although everything made, at one time had a beginning, God has always been. The vastness and enormity of this one statement is equaled by no other for it assumes and states many things concerning the greatness and truth of God.
Typically, cosmological arguments occur in two different phases. The first phase’s purpose is to provide the premise that there is a ‘first cause’ or an independent being that caused the creation of our universe, while the second phase’s purpose is to argue that this being has godlike features like omnipotence and immanence. To justify the claims in these phases, the Cosmological Argument takes into consideration the Principle of Sufficient Reason (PSR), which is the principle that there is an explanation for the existence of every single thing (referred to as PSRa), and for every positive fact (referred to as PSRb). This principle is a key element of the cosmological argument as it provides rationale to the premises of the argument with what appears to be obvious facts.
The Big Bang theory states that although the universe is currently cooling and expanding, the universe was once much hotter and smaller. The most compelling evidence for the proof of the Big Bang theory are the movement of distant galaxies, the expansion of space time, and the hydrogen and photons in the universe.
Elohim declared, “He has made known to his people the power of his works, In giving them the heritage of the nations” (NASB) (Psalms 111:6) establishing him as the deed holder for the universe and therefore is the just ruler. Further, the Torah instructs us of creation consisting of six days thereby proclaiming that God inhabits, planned and formed our universe. Any theories to the contrary such as a “Big Bang” or “Evolution” is flatly ruled null and void. [See Also Isaiah 48:13 and Acts 15:15]
...inue since both provide very plausible views of this world that do not necessarily have to contradict each other. Concerning the Big Bang and Creation, the purpose of the two stories should shed more light in providing a better effort of integration. The Big Bang theory primarily provides a description of the mechanism employed in creation whilst the Creation story gives meaning and purpose by attributing God as the cause behind all creative acts. A holistic picture is created by a worldview that gives precedence to both the actual processes, to the cause and to the meaning behind it all.
...The theory also suggests that in fact many universes were created out nothing. These universes are created through physical law and they can have every possible history. Which in turn means that this theory does not need the help of supernatural being. The answer to the universe does not have one definite answer but many.
The cosmological argument is brought up by the idea that if the universe exists, it must have been caused
The Big Bang is a theory that the universe was created in a very large
The Big Bang Theory is one of the most important, and most discussed topics in cosmology today. As such, it encompasses several smaller components that attempt to explain what happened in the moments after creation, and how the universe we know today came from such a fiery, chaotic universe in the wake of the Big Bang. One major component of the Big Bang theory is nucleosynthesis. We know that several stellar phenomena (including stellar fusion and various types of super novae) are responsible for the formation of all heavy elements up through Plutonium, however, after the advent of the Big Bang theory, we needed a way to explain what types of matter were created to form the earliest stars.!
The entertainment world has given birth to several of my nemesis’. Off the top of my head, Tom Six, Jaden Smith, Miley Cyrus and the worst of all Marc Webb who had to remake a dreadful rendition of the Amazing Spiderman Franchise.
Truth about creation is found only in the Bible (Ryrie 206). The first verse of the Bible Genesis 1:1, In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth, is an absolute statement.
Genesis 1:1-2 says: “First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don’t see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God’s Spirit brooded like a bird over the watery abyss.” The Message. There is a long-standing debate over whether the universe sprang into existence as "singularity", or God created it. Singularities are, in the simplest of terms, black holes.
...eaves so many unanswered questions, infact it fails to give a satisfying account of the origin of the earth. The big bang theory has loopholes in the sense that there are observations which it cannot explain like the abundance production of light element. The big bang theory contradicts with the Bible, which has over time proven its reliability and this makes the whole theory questionable. To make matters worse the theory is a production of human imagination, it has substantial evidence.
The big bang theory states that the universe began by expanding from an infinitesimal volume with extremely high density and temperature. It was initially smaller than the head of a pin. The theory states that space was created at the same time as the big bang and expanded carrying matter with it. Many physicists believe even time began with the big bang. The evidence supporting the big bang was so great that in 1951, the Catholic Church declared the big bang model to comply with the Bible.
The big bang theory is an attempt to explain how the world began. The big bang theory begins with what is called a “singularity.” This term is used to describe an area in space which defies all the known laws of physics. Singularities are thought to exist at the core of black holes. Black holes are areas of intense gravitational pressure. The pressure is thought to be so intense that matter is pressed together into an infinite amount of pressure. The dense hot mass of the singularity slowly expanded. This process is called inflation. As the singularity expanded the universe went from dense and hot to cool and expansive. Inflation is still continuing on today which means that the universe is continually expanding.
