After watching videos and reading chapters ' one through three in the text book, I have realized that the bible Is not anything spiritual but can be taken as being spiritual only by the way you present it. My understanding of the Bible is that it is a book that consist of stories that tell the history of how the man discovered God, but his name is YHWH in the bible. Some people look at the bible as being a template or a guide that tells how you was supposed to live your life on the earth, but it 's not. The Bible is really a history book because the Bible tells of the Israelites stories and what they discovered or what they went through. But as the archeologist read through the Bible, they started to notice that there was stories about Noah which made it seem like there was more than one writer. And archeologists were able to prove that the Bible was written by four people instead one but these people are Israelites. The Bible shows evidence of two different stories in two different chapters. For example, in one chapter it say 40 days and 40 nights but in the next chapter it says 150 days. To see if the flood is over it was said that Noah sent out a dove but in the next sentence after that it stated that Noah sent out a raven. Two different stories were put together on two pages in the Bible. Then there was an ancient alphabet that was found which was about 1000 B.C. old which told of some of the stories of the Bible. Scholars searched for the actual language of the Bible. The story of Moses leading the Israelites is in the Bible which makes it seem like it was poem that make it ancient with a historical core behind. Many archeologist have found writings on an ancient city that was before ruined. My understanding of the Bible is nothing spiritual because the Bible tells of the stories of the events the Israelites went through. The Bible is not a book that tells you how to live your life. The Bible has principles and values behind it but it does not make it spiritual. The Bible can be for anyone whether if there spiritual or not
