The Bible is written more as a theological account rather than a historical record (Harris 281).With little to no additional resources to confirm Jesus’ existence and doings, it becomes almost impossible to confirm via modern methods what Christians believe as an absolute truth. JESUS THE ENIGMA - DETERMINING HIS TRUE THOUGHTS AND ACTIONS In trying to understand who Jesus was, what he did, and what he said, most people turn to the Bible for guidance and answers. Within the four Gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John, one can find a vast amount of information to help with this quest. This information, however, can lead to confusion when one discovers the many disparities between each of the individual accounts presented in these gospels. Many times when a person reviews all of the gospels side by side, they find that they end up with more questions than answers regarding the type of person that Jesus really was.

In spite of these claims many Christians are not able to clarify the origins of what they place all of their faith upon. The questions asked above are profoundly significant since they have eternal consequences. They have consequences because in order to trust and obey God there must be certainty in the accuracy of God’s Word. This testament will attempt to answer the question: How Do We Know The New Testament is God’s Word? Definitions In order to determine if the New Testament is God’s Word one must understand how the New Testament came together.
The Existence of God Works Cited Not Included For centuries, the idea of God has been a part of man's history. Past and present, there has always been a different integration consisting of the believers and the non-believers of God. The group of those who have "faith" in God tend to be related to one religion or another. On the other hand, the skeptics find the existence of God somewhat puzzling and try to seek the answers through scientific methods. Even as of today with all the modern technologies and the development of sciences, we still do not have a definitive answer to the question "does God exist?"
The fact that the beginning of history in all recorded accounts is limited to the same time frame is a starting point for believing in God of the Bible and yet many refuse to admit that the Bible is true. Modern historians have put a lot of effort into trying to revise history. In attempting to apply scientific methods fo... ... middle of paper ... ... is doomed to a life of failure. This would also conclude that both books were inspired by the same Messiah, even though the Quran and the Bible claim to have different high powers. Many questions arise from such topics, such as: can the Quran and the Bible both be absolutely true if they hold opposing standards? Many controversial questions and discussions arise along the lines of this subject, yet it can be explained through very simple evidence: the textual content, their origins, and contradictions between the Quran and the Bible. Most people who confuse the Quran and the Bible have never read or studied either of the books for themselves and merely believe the information they consume through media (Valle, Religion-Online). However, scholars who studied the text of the Quran and the Bible found contextual evidence that proves the Muslim’s Allah and the Christian’s God, whether fiction or factual, to be different gods with opposing moral standards.
Today people still believe that, despite the theories, which have been put forward. But scholars such as Wrede and Schmidt have theorised that maybe the bible could be true, but only parts of it. Scholars noticed that Mark's gospel was a collection of stories and sayings of Jesus, which seemed to be artificially linked without much regar... ... middle of paper ... ...ume, in his dialogues concerning Natural religion 1779, said that if the human experience of design were valid, the design argument would prove that the universe has a designer. All these views although they haven't been around very long, seem to suggest that the existence of a divine creator is tunnel vision and old fashioned. These modern views have challenged theology to its limit but I feel that no matter what new theories and views are thought of, there will always be room for beliefs in the existence of God because some people believe that God isn't meant to be explained or proved, for if it was what would we have to look forward to.
It all lies on what people let their minds to believe. It is pointless to take something based upon faith, which is based on no proof, just ambitious thoughts. This may be something that everyone may not agree upon, but I believe it is true. For as long as people first started their beliefs in god it has seemed that is a thought humans have just created in their own heads. Never in the history of humanity have we had any real proof that god was ever really real.
He would have asked penetrating questions and obviously the religious answers he got did not satisfy his inquiring mind. However, if the Bible was inspired by the same person who created the universe, it should be able to answer this query to some satisfaction. But what if what we always thought we knew about the Bible was nothing like it really is? And though Christianity and the Bible have always been portrayed synonymously, what would happen if we discovered they are not the same??? Although depicted mostly as a 'religious' book, the Bible is really more a book of 'science'.
