The Beatles were a small band located out of Liverpool in England, started by several young men who were interested in American rock and blues. They started as a no-name band who travelled throughout England, and later parts of Europe, playing gigs in various bars. It wasn’t until they met their manager Brian Epstein that they were able to be marketed into getting a contract with George Martin, a producer at EMI. Then their popularity soared through the USA as Beatlemania, and are often named as the beginning of the British Invasion and the popularity of British bands in the country. The Beatles, without a doubt, changed rock music and became one of the most famous rock bands, so much that they are often considered one of the best rock bands
I’m here today to discuss, compare, and contrast the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, two of the best rock and roll bands from the 1960s. During the British Invasion, both of these bands had a lasting impression worldwide inspiring many of the current artists today. Although both bands are similar, they have many differences.
The Beatles are known, respectively, as the fathers of modern pop music. After their first #1 hit “Please Please Me” was released in 1963 the Beatles were set in motion to become one of the most influential groups of musicians to ever rock our world. With over forty-nine records, 37 #1’s, and thirty- four number one albums (the highest amount of any band in history), there is no denying that they made a monumental ripple in the musical world. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr surprisingly all come from humble beginnings in a town that, until their superstardom, was barely noticed on the map. Liverpool, being kn...
The Beatles are an iconic English rock band and are widely regarded as the “foremost and most influential act of the rock era” (Unterberg). The Beatles was not only artist with good songs. They were more than artist who truly influenced lives that had them. Since, I learned about their fame first hand, I thought their music was quite over-rated. However, while I researched for my reaction paper, I found out that it was truly the Beatles who deserve such praise after all these years. Therefore, I would like to write a reaction paper on the Beatles and how they truly deserve the fame.
The Beatles are a band that has made a huge impact into our world. The impact of the Beatles influenced many things. Such things would be types of music, the people, and a world movement.
The Beatles were originally from Liverpool, England. When I first saw Liverpool, I was thinking about the town here in the United States right next to Alvin. George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr changed the expected course of music for their decade. Instead of following the already paved road, the Beatles insisted on creating their own pathway. On February 7th, 1964 they traveled to the United States. The Beatles had a persona to them in my opinion that made them mellow and loving people. The Beatles were exactly what American people needed after the assassination of their president John F. Kennedy. The fact that the Beatles set a record that has yet to be broken ...
They rarely sang other people's music because they had so much content. Many other groups which followed were inspired by The Beatles. They set trends for music and style for many years. Over the years, The Beatles have made a huge impact on music and music history because they were willing to try things that were new and different. They will never be forgotten (News, Daily).
The Grateful Dead was a band that toured continuously for 30 years until the death of lead man Jerry Garcia. They were known for free flowing jams and bluegrass roots. Phish is a band that has toured consistently for the last 17 years and has in time made themselves into stealth multi-millionaires. Both are very talented bands, who have and in the Dead's case, had, created big names for themselves. Many people make wrongful association with these two groups of musicians. It is said that Phish is trying to be the Dead of this generation. This statement is very untrue. Phish is not a Grateful Dead take-off. Phish and the Dead have much more differences than similarities. There are of course a few similarities between these two bands. If there were none, nobody would compare them so much.
snappy guitar tune with the modest voice of Jerry to back it up has driven these
The Beatles accomplished many things in their career, and they were very influential to the music industry. They were the first known band to achieve world-wide fame, and their name as the best rock icon still remains untouched today. (All Music) To this day, The Beatles still are releasing old unreleased music to keep the fandom going.
The 1960s was a time of Rock, Rock and Roll, Blues Rock, Psychedelic Rock, etc. Rock was established in the 50s but took off in the 60s. One of the most popular bands at that time was The Beatles. The Beatles, in my opinion and many others, was the most influential band of the decade, not only changing rock but music in general forever. The Beatles were a rock band formed in Liverpool, but eventually
America’s defenses were breached and hysteria gripped the nation. The invasion had begun. However, the sounds of sirens did not fill the streets to warn against nuclear attacks, nor were there warnings to stay indoors. Instead the youth of America rushed into the streets of New York and welcomed the invaders with loud screams and insane fanaticism. The invaders were The Beatles and the members were Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. One of the biggest and influential bands to change the face of music as we know it took the world by storm by introducing new sound, new fashion, and a new way of approaching music. The Beatles have etched a name for themselves and stand in history as one of the greatest bands of all time. However there is a reason why they are regarded so highly and have become the big name that they are today. I never once listened to The Beatles and I didn’t get into music until I was twelve years old, yet at the age of nine I knew who they were. The Beatles are almost a household name in western cultures and that is because of the profound effect they brought upon society at the time. With help from their musical influences, experiences, and being present at the right place at the right time, The Beatles ascended into fame. It is because of factors like their influences, their experiences as a band, their management, and their arrival at the right time that made their takeover that much more successful and influential.

When people think about the 60’s the majority of them all think about the Beatles. The Beatles is a band that made Rock and Roll a totally, different type of music. Even though The Beatles were such a hit, as time went on they started to fall apart. Over 50 years later, the Beatles are still classified as one of the best band of all time.
The Beatles are an English rock band who originated in Liverpool, England in 1960. They were a huge success locally even before they began to make records in the United Kingdom. The band was comprised of four members: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. They owe much of their early, quick success to manager Brian Epstein who molded them into a professional act, and producer George Martin who enhanced their musical potential. Early in the 1960’s, their widespread fame in the United Kingdom was first referred to as “Beatlemania”. Eventually, they acquired the nickname “the Fab Four” as Beatlemania grew rapidly in Britain. By 1964, the Fab Four made their way overseas and officially became international pop stars. The Beatles were the leading factor in the “British Invasion” of the United States pop market.
