You might know that the Bermuda Triangle is a legendary place where numerous disappearances have occurred, but how much do you really know about it? Some people don’t believe in such a place, but some do. Research has been conducted to try and figure out what could possibly be happening here, but with no hard evidence. The mysterious Bermuda Triangle may be more than just a myth though; the Bermuda triangle has a long history with disappearances, few people live through it to tell the tale, and possible theories have been made over the years; leaving scientists questioning this strange phenomenon.
The history of this legend dates way back. One of the more widely known events that had occurred earlier on was when Christopher Columbus was traveling. Christopher Columbus had reported seeing a flame crashing into the sea and a strange light appearing in the distance a few weeks later. Some people come back to tell the story, but seldom are they believed. Most people know the Bermuda Triangle as a place of disappearances, though. Of all of the disappearances, a real eye-opener for most was Flight 19. On December, 05, 1945, taking off from Ft. Lauderdale Naval Air Station, Navy Avenger torpedo-bombers started their training mission. A couple hours after the mission started, they reported having issues with both of their compasses, and… they were lost. A Mariner Aircraft of 13 men were sent to search for them, but only after a few minutes, they lost contact with all radio stations. With most people worried by now, one of the largest search parties was formed. Hundreds of aircrafts and ships were sent out, only to find nothing. No bodies, no airplane parts, absolutely nothing. This incident had turned some skeptics to believers of the Be...

Flight 19 was the designation of five TBM Avenger torpedo bombers that disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle on December 5, 1945 during a United States Navy overwater navigation training flight from Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale, Florida. All 14 of the airmen on the flight were lost as well as the 13 crew members of a PBM Mariner flying boat of professional investigators which is thought to have exploded in mid-air while searching for the flight. Navy investigators could not determine the cause of the loss of Flight 19 yet many researchers argue otherwise claiming that there is a specific cause for the disappearance of Flight 19.
The Roswell UFO incident is considered to be the most controversial and well known capture of an alien craft and its occupants. It is still unknown to the public and the United States Military still maintains that the crash was that of a secret balloon. Information has been concealed and misinterpreted since the incident, the people may never know the true story of Roswell. Or if the military press release really is true and all that truly happened was a crashed surveillance balloon.
Some time in July of 1947, a mysterious flying object zigzagged across the skies of New Mexico. Within twenty-four hours the object disappeared from radar just as mysteriously as it had appeared. It was last seen in a small town in the middle of the Arizona desert, it’s name, Roswell.
“The final resting place of the men and their aircraft remains a matter of ongoing speculation, and chances grow slimmer that anyone will ever find them in the nearly infinite expanse of the mighty Atlantic Ocean” which explains how the inability of recovering the remains from Flight 19 have led researchers to take a different approach at researching the disappearance of Flight 19 rather than using only science and rationality to justify the disappearance (Ruffin 242). “Flight 19 is indeed a great mystery, one which has given rise to superstitions of inexplicable magnetic or extraterrestrial forces” which is the main reason for the growth in the possibilities of paranormal phenomena being at fault for the disappearance of Flight 19 (Donnelly). Science cannot always hold the answer to all the mysteries and problems that go on around the world and the case of Flight 19 is a perfect example. Paranormal phenomena is not accepted or even believed to be true by a majority of society but eye witnesses and sightings prove that it could possibly be the key to many of the world’s mysteries such as the disappearance of Flight
The most celebrated disappearance in the Bermuda Triangle was flight 19. Dec. 5, 1945 five TMC Avengers and fourteen Navy aviators took of from Ft. Lauderdale on a training mission off the coast of Florida. The mos...
“‘The ‘Bermuda Triangle’, or ‘Devil’s Triangle’, is a mythical geographic area’, states a fact sheet issued by the U.S. Coast Guard” (Gaffron 17). One of the most influential groups in the United States believes that the Bermuda Triangle is only a myth. “Most rational explanations for the incidents in the Bermuda Triangle, including the explanations given by the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard, include human error and environmental effects” (Obringer). The U.S. Navy has lost quite a few ships in the Bermuda Triangle region and believe that the reason behind those disappearances involved either human or technical difficulties. “Plane ditchings or explosions in flight may result from many causes; lack of visible evidence being explained by the truism that ‘It’s a big ocean’” (Berlitz 6) The reports from the people that actually lost lives believe in that something bad but normal happened which is a sound explanation for the
Paranormal Activity is similar to pseudoscience and involves experiences outside of science (Hines, 2003). However, there is another side to these strange occurrences which includes UFOs, alien contact, and the appearance of unusual creatures. According to Imbrogno (2008) “No matter how skeptical you are, there are three things that cannot be denied: that reports of paranormal experiences exist, that they persist, and they are increasingly occurring on a global scale” (pg.16). According to Hines (2003) “Paranormal phenomena includes extrasensory perception (ESP), telekinesis, ghosts, poltergeists, life after death, reincarnation, faith healing, human auras, and so forth” (pg.20). The term UFOs, unidentified flying objects, is the reported sighting of any object or arrangement of lights that do not have a logical or natural explanation. The first reported incident in America occurred in 1947, when an amateur pilot, Kenneth Arnold, made claims of a sighting while flying his small plane near Mount Rainier in Washington which caused the U.S. government to begin searching for extraterrestrials (Stephey, 2009). Moreover, Chinese texts from the 4th century make claims of a “moon boat” that visited once every 12 years hovering above the country to become the earliest sighting in recorded history (Stephey, 2009). Although issues such as speed, shape, and size continues to differs, the U.S. Air Force commissioned Project Blue Book, an official record of sights that occurred in the U.S. from 1952 to 1969 logging over 12,000 sightings or events involving UFOs.
This paper will prove it will remain unknown if the Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) crash sighting at Roswell, New Mexico on July 4th, 1947 did happen, although the government is hiding Extraterrestrial information there. The following is a list of terms that may become confusing to some readers.
The mystery and the study of the unknown has always caught people's attention. The search for truth in this mystery has led to many agreements and disagreements. Some believe in nessie and some don’t. Some people have their own reasons for not believing in nessie.
There is a vast amount of complicated questions that barrage our minds everyday: Time travel, other intelligent life, the end of the universe, and our very creation. However there are other mysteries, ones that are a lot closer to us then we think. A mysterious noise that was so loud it left scientists on different continents with their jaws dropped. The noise was named “The Bloop” and was added to the worlds mysteries because even to this day there is no concrete evidence about what made this noise. In fact, there isn’t even one theory that has a fair amount of evidence to back it up. The only thing that scientists can agree on after much study is that what ever made the mysterious noise was alive.
...ngle that causes boats to sink, and planes to fall out of the sky (Sawyer)? We might know in the future, but for right now the Bermuda Triangle will remain an unsolved mystery to mankind (Sawyer).
It is impossible to say that the truth behind the Bermuda Triangle has never once pondered your mind. In fact this seemingly unexplainable occurrence of the North Atlantic Oceans has haunted the souls of countless people since the mid-1800s. The truth is, the mystery behind the Bermuda Triangle has been solved decades ago. However, this information has never been publicized in cooperation of the Devil’s Act of 1920 signed by the world leaders in order to “keep the peace”. But the origins of this story have a far more complex past than anyone could imagine. Eons ago, when the first beings of humanity walked the face of the Earth, Adam and Eve. The devil, jealous of God’s newest creations, desired creatures of his own. Ones made from his own
In conclusion the bermuda triangle is an imaginary triangle with a deadly reputation. No explanation has been proven correct and the mystery is still to be solved. After countless events of paranomal activity being reported, it is difficult to believe that the triangle is a safe place with nothing peculiar about it, even though most researchers believe differently. The sense of mystery, publicized occurances of paranormal activity, and attention from scientists and researchers has continued to fuel interest on the matter.
that it is paranormal. In fact, as you read on you will discover that science does back up
On November 3 1945, the Bermuda triangle first grasped the attention of many people with one mysterious event. Flight 19, an aircraft which was out on a 3 hour training session, fully fueled and equipped with five highly experienced aviators, went missing and was never to be heard of again (McDonell1of 9). The three hour training session started from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was due 150 miles east, 40 miles north and then was told to return to the base; unfortunately that did not happen (McDonell 1 of 9). During the training session the aviators both back up compass and compass were malfunctioning making their locations a mystery to them and lost to the world for two hours. During these two hours radios on ...
