A current survey shows that most students feel bored in schools because of the teachers, lonely, and no value of the work. But as we know, education is a essential component of people’s life. Education gives people critical skills so that they could get better careers and maintain economic growth now and in the future. Furthermore, education also helps improve health care and fight the spread of some common diseases. Since education plays a huge role in people’s daily life, people need to provide the best education to their children. The key to let children to learn effectively is to make learning happier. In his book, Ben-Shahar claims that “if he wants to become a businessman, then his parents should support him, even though their wish had always been that he pursues politics.”(85) The same situation for teachers as well as parents, teachers should also encourage their students to pursue what they want for their careers, but teachers should not tell their students to consider their occupations by the cost and the benefits. Therefore, students will be happy when they learn the knowledge from their schools. Besides, parents and teachers also can help their children and students by creating a learning condition environment. Because different people have different way of thinking and behaviors, they may see the things in different value. For students, it is the same circumstance. Students are desired to select what they want to do rather than choose by someone else. When they study in schools, students should have the rights to select what they want to learn in order to make their education happier. In the article “How High School Teachers, Parents Can Encourage Teens to Read for Fun,” Alexandra Pannoni says that “Teachers could work with librarians to find books that meet curriculum requirements, but give teens a variety of options to choose from.” Teachers provide the books which are proper to meet students’ skill levels. Besides, different types of books engage students. Thus, they will not get bored easily.
