I’m a hardworking citizen who is currently a college student with Immigrant Parents. The amount of disadvantages for a family are indeed absolutely immense. Some of these disadvantages involve low income, college struggles, and health sacrifices. Motivations is certainly a key factor of my drive and has played a huge factor in my life. I was born Waukegan. Illinois. As a result, I am a United States Citizen. Being a Citizen has many advantages many people take for granted. However, being a first generation citizen is quite difficult. The main difficulty that every first generation child faces, assuming that individual’s parents came from a country where the United Stated Dollar is greater than their birth countries currency, is finance. As I was growing up all I knew was school and work. The truth is each and every immigrant start out homeless and are continuesly moving until a baby is born, where you may ask? The united states of America, that baby is now an America. What do each and every America get? That’s right benefits, such as snap, link, internet, phone, electricity, water, school, college, etc. According to Pew Hispanic, “Unauthorized immigrants living in the United States are more geographically dispersed than in the past and are more likely than either U.S. born residents or legal immigrants to live in a household with a spouse and children. In addition, a growing share of the children of unauthorized immigrant parents—73%—were born in this country and are U.S. citizens”. As soon any immigrant family has kids in US, many doors open.
