Arsenal football club is known to be one of the biggest football clubs in the world. But many people do not know what they did to be where they are now. Arsenal has sacrificed a lot to get here, but they kept a straight mind and did what is right. There are other clubs in Europe such as Chelsea and Manchester City that achieved success by skipping and forgetting the fundamentals in building a modern day super club that will only see them eventually folding just like Portsmouth, Leeds United, and Blackburn. Arsenal has built their club that will guarantee them long term success in the future and will always be known as a top club, this is why the way Arsenal built their club is much smarter than the way Chelsea and Manchester City did. The first step in becoming a modern day super club in Europe, a club needs to have a world class manager, and on September 30, 1996 that is exactly what they did. When Arsene Wenger came to Arsenal, he held his head high after leading the Japanese team Nagoya Grampus to their best league position at the team in second place, but the Premier League is much more advance than the Japanese league. Straight away when Arsene Wenger came here he implemented a diet plan into the players. The diet plan was the first time to be used in the modern game. Instead of eating meats, the players would eat more fish and vegetables. This increased the player’s performances and saw better results into the team. Before Arsene Wenger, Arsenal was known as a boring side that will only win 1-0 as the song goes “One nil to the Arsenal”. But that all changed with Arsene Wenger. Arsene Wenger revolutionized the game by bringing this new brand of free flowing attacking football that has never been seen before.
