The Attacks on September 11, 2001 would change the course of history forever. Many lives will be affected in the United States of America for years to come. The attacks caused a war and the death of thousands of innocent Americans. This attack was and is one of the most disastrous act of terrorism ever. Why would they do this? In this paper I will tell you why and how the attacks happened.

Most people think the attacks of September 11, 2001 are because Muslim extremists hate our freedoms. But also Osama Bin Laden tried to retaliate the United State`1s for stationing troops in Saudi Arabia. He may have wanted to cause the United States to attack some Arab nations so he could gain more jihadists. Although it is hard to know the exact reasons for the attack of 9/11, one thing we know is why al Qaeda did what Osama Bin Laden wanted them to. Osama Bin Laden had complete and absolute control of the terrorist group called al Qaeda. Since he had absolute control of al Qaeda they would do whatever he wanted to do no matter what it was. So whatever his motives were, they were not questioned, and his orders were executed exactly how he wanted them to be.

Airline profits fell twenty five billion dollars, in the years following the attack of 9/11.

Several airline companies went out of business before things rebounded. The economic

effect on New York City was an estimated 23.7 billion through the end of 2002. Taxes

then added another 2 billion dollars. It was estimated 100,000 jobs were lost just in the

city of Manhattan, 18,000 businesses were ruined, or disrupted, or they had to relocate. There was a ripple effect that hit hard to every single aspect of the United States economy. It was first estimated that 1.8 million people los...

This wasn’t just helpful for the safety of the survivors, but also for the safety of the rescue workers. The wreckage was a very dangerous mess, because there was twisted steel, concrete, and other debris which could move at any time or place. After several days their mission was no longer to find survivors but to clean up and find human remains.

Everyone has been affected by these attacks, and always will be. The footprint for these attacks will take a long time to be healed and forgotten about. The attacks however have tighten the security and hopefully no other attacks of this measure would ever be planned again. The attack on September 11, 2001 caused the death of thousands and and an unmeasurable amount of money.
