Internet plays an important role among students in higher education, especially in the universities. The use of Internet has its own advantages and disadvantages among them. This essay will further discuss the bad and good influence towards them. Obviously, people in different parts of the world use the same way to access the information by using Internet. Sometimes, they do not know about the advantages and disadvantages of Internet as maybe they are too engrossed in their virtual reality. They really believe that by using the Internet, their works become smooth especially in students live as they are always need to google the information for their assignment task. One of its advantage is that internet can make students solve their problems easily. They can find various type of information only by typing what they want to know. The university students maybe not really have the opportunity to watch the news at television or newspaper according to their hectic live. However, they still can follow the news by reading it at the portal or watching the news at website such as tonton.com.my and many more. Furthermore, Internet has expanded its advantage by providing a space for people to socialize among another people even they are from different background. Majority of the students have an account for social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Blog, Instagram, and etc. As example of Facebook, students can create a for their members to join it at once they can make it as a group discussion even though it is in virtual reality. They also can stay keep in touch with their old classmate who had further his studies at abroad. Thus, social networks can be used as a medium for conveying information to them. They are happy wasting the time with unbeneficial habits. Moreover, the students become antisocial as they still engrossed with the Internet. When someone become an addictive game, it is hard for him to adept in social life. All he knows what to do is plays the game seriously as the game is half of his soul. He also not know the latest news all over the world. In conclusion, there is no doubt that Internet has good and bad influence towards the students. Internet gives us many beneficial information to the students. However, it is also has the side effect for them. So, it is vital for parents to monitor their children’s use of the Internet. The students also should limit the uses of the Internet and choose the right person to be friend with at the social network.
