The technology advancement that is moving us toward a more globalized system, comprises of several main components, these are faster microprocessor, advanced memory chip, lithium battery, and high speed Internet fibre optic (fibreglass). Without these core components, globalization would be at a much slower pace. This is attributed by a slower adoption rate in technology due to higher cost in equipment and data plan, slow and unreliable internet connection via 54k dialup modem and less appealing gadget.

For example privacy, predators can prey on you and your family by tracking your social media account such as Facebook. People uses social media platform for sexual exploitation and cyber bullying. Distribution of piracy music and movies has been on the rise, this infringes the right to Intellectual Property (IP). Addiction to social media and interactive messaging may affect a person life in how he/she communicate. Addition to online gaming and lack of physical activities will increase the likelihood of diabetes, obese or other related diseases.
By taking away the access right to harmful information, distribution of content, blocking of websites are possible violation of human rights. However, to prevent the negative impacts from occurring, it would be advisable to incorporate some of these threats in the academic system.
