But, for many Morgalo 4 teens this experiment leads to a dangerous drug addiction. At the stage of young adulthood, teenagers do not know how to deal with their problems in a positive way, which influences them to find the answer to their problems in drugs. Also, teens with drug addictions hurt their friends and loved ones because they make the drugs their number one priority. Although drugs can feel good at first, they ultimately do a lot of harm to the psychological and mental health of a young adult.
There are a lot of motivations about why young people are attracted to drugs. Sometimes when something dreadful happens in their lives they become so disappointed and thwarted; they will then turn into a hopeless person who is doomed to failure thus, they start looking for ways to help them forget their problems and make them to feel better. These motivations consist of: death of a family member or loved ones who they are close to; insolvency and bankruptcy; being dismissed from their job; curious and inquisitive people who wants to try drugs by themselves; being unstable; not being enough confident; influence of friends and being offered the opportunity by a friend they trust . Drug addiction is a very big problem in today’s society. Many people have had their lives ruined due to drug addiction. The people that use the drugs don’t even realize that they have an addiction. They continue to use the drug not even realizing that their whole world is crashing down around them. Drug addicts normally lose their family and friends due to drug addiction.
Once they come down from the high they will do it again just to get to that state of mind. The addiction can cause pain and heart ache in a family because the addiction is so strong that an addict only thinks about being high and forgets about family bond. Jobs usually requires a person to take a drug screening prior to employment because they want a safe and productive workplace. I would not want an addict to operate machinery while under the influence because it is totally unsafe and cause accidents. Addicts usually find themselves having problems with the law because they might do criminal activities just to get there hands on
It could also be pressure to abuse illegal drugs. Peer pressure is often used in harmful ways. (Doe, John) Teens at a party want to fit in. Many find it is very hard to say no when their peers are doing drugs. It may seem easy to say no, but when a teen feels pressured and wants to fit in, most teens try the drugs in the end.
While some parents may feel relieved that their teen is “only” drinking, it is important to remember that alcohol is a powerful, mood-altering drug. Not only does alcohol affect the mind and body in unpredictable ways, but teens lack the judgment and coping skills to handle alcohol wisely. Some teenagers are brought up with the attitude that drinking is pure evil. But most of the time this just causes rebellious behavior and makes them want to try it even more, and once they try it they could possibly get addicted. According to associate professor Deborah Deas and assistant professor Suzanne Thomas from the Medical University of South Carolina, more senior high school students use alcohol than any other drug.
This is the reason why alcoholism is so difficult to treat; because there is no one they trust who can help them get over the rough patch. Drinking alcohol is a very serious situation that could potentially damage a family based solely on the choice of one person; it is a very selfish act and should not be done to an excess. Overindulging in alcohol can severely affect the children of the alcoholic. The child may become embarrassed and refuse help from others, they may become involved with criminal activities when older, and they most likely will develop a drinking problem themselves at a young age. When sons and daughters become involved with a parent’s drinking problem, it becomes more than just a personal issue for the parent.
Sometimes teens are pressured to fit in with others to be considered “popular”, but this ends up making their emotional situation worse. Also, hanging out with the wrong crowd ... ... middle of paper ... ...icide is caused by simple factors that occurred in their life but it’s usually more than one factor that causes it. The teen doesn’t all of a sudden wish to die, but slowly ends up having these suicidal thoughts by negative events happening in their life which lead to them not wanting to live anymore. Also, not having someone to properly talk to and confine in can contribute to their thoughts more. The reason being because they’re bottling up all their thoughts and problems and don’t tell anyone about it.
Drugs and alcohol have become a huge issue among young people. Laws have been made to prevent teens from obtaining alcohol and certain legal drugs, but it still happens. The biggest problem is teens do not understand how to handle alcohol and do not understand the risks or consequences. They want to be cool and fit in and have fun, but it is not all fun and games. Adolescents are able to find drugs and alcohol so easy these days.
