The stores that are included in my shopping are Hollister, Old Navy, Abercrombie and finch, and the Gap. They are the entire local clothing store that our youth ware, but the prices are so high that the parents cannot afford to buy them. I am a cheerleading coach and a dance instructor for our local school district. My dance team and cheerleaders wear the Aeropostal collection for our warm ups and the students just love it. My coach’s uniform is also from Areopostal. My daughter started her career at the Art institute of Philadelphia majoring in fashion and design. She told me that this is possible the highest paid industry for teens next to boys and the cell phone. The Ugg and Aeropostal collection has had a great impact on this community the youth love them both.
The world is simply too large and rich for just one product leader. It is common knowledge that China is responsible for so many sales to and from the United States. I recognize in my community that Bear Paw and Emu are Uggs competitors. I work in a school district were the student are very materialistic. We have a dress code policy that consists of maroon shirts and black bottoms. We now allow the students to wear Aeropostal logos on their clothing. The reason for this is Areospostal has great sale prices that are affordable. Most of the population has a maroon, black or grey Aeropostal hoodie in our school that consists of 673 students.
Aeropostal is going to be very profitable price are on a rise clothing line by the many students in our school district alone. There is no way that is the sales will be dropping any time soon! Since the 1970’s Urban Outfitters INC. has produced a wide selection of clothing brands for the younger generation. Urban Outfitters INC. includes Free People, BHLDN, Anthropologie, Terrain and Urban Outfitters. The beginning of Urban Outfitters INC. started out in Philadelphia for college students, their fun loving affordable clothing appealed to students who were living under a college budget. It’s known for its “hipster” and “free thinking” clothing that would appeal to the younger generation. However in present day it seems as if the original purpose of Urban Outfitters INC. has been lost. The prices of clothing at Urban Outfitters and at their sister stores has increased drastically to where college students can barely afford it. Throughout the recent years Urban Outfitters INC. has found itself in multiple issues that effects the sales of their stores. For instance being reprimanded for their designs, being sued for stolen designs and having a president who supports anti-gay polictians. Considering all the negative aspects to Urban Outfitters and the loss of their traditional purpose Americans should not support Urban Outfitters Inc.
As stated, “Americans dominated sales in the global tennis racket market in 2015, accounting for a share of 49.2%. The region is expected to continue leading the market during the forecast period, with an estimated 51.21% market share in 2020.” This dominance in the market make the population a perfect target to sell Pacific products. Tennis apparel market is also dominated by the Americans in sales. Pacific should target the market of the United States. The best distribution channels to connect to Americans is through online sales and product sales in retail stores. These distribution channels will help Pacific connect with Americans with more ease. Since many consumers live in the United States this strategy can potentially grow the company
One of the main attractive reason Sport Shoes Inc. manufactured in China is because low labour costs. is home to approximately 1.35 billion people, which makes it the most populous country in the world. The law of supply and demand tells us that since

Stores were set up in shopping malls and a catalog was established. The chain grew for much of the 1980s. In 1989, the owners decided to refocus their business on American Eagle Outfitters, selling their other retail chains. They changed to appeal to the population. The company has now been established as “the store” to go to. Teens and young adults can’t seem to stay away. The company has had to change and adapt to the styles of this
The other day I was walking back to my dorm room and I saw someone wearing a shirt that read "Fcuk" across the front. If looked at quickly, one would think that there was some modern profanity being displayed on the front of the shirt when, in fact, there was none. The writing on the shirt actually is a label for a company by the name of French Connection. All this begs the question, is fashion becoming more brash, or is it emphasizing on the American right to freedom of speech? Furthermore, are some people taking that constitutional right too far? Clothing and fashion has always had a language of its own. Throughout the ages, the style in which one dresses has defined one's position in society, one's political views and one's occupation.
American Eagle Outfitters is a fairly new company but they are doing extremely well because they have a clear grasp of who their target market is. They posses a fresh new hip look with great quality clothing at a reasonable price for consumers (http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte201w/aeostrat.html). This is one of the main reasons why teenagers and young adults are so attracted to the company. American Eagle is aiming to appeal not only to the targeted 20 year old but also consumers between the ages of 16 and 34 years old. This will widen the gap between their major competitors because they are trying to appeal to more segments than just one. American Eagle seeks to be assessable, fashion orientated, and has a strong value proposition, which has allowed the company to thrive and take shares from competitors over the past five years. Not only is their clothing line very comfortable, bold and fresh, the store layout and atmosphere is also major key factors in American Eagle’s success over the recent years. AE also has a strong competitive advantage because of their short lead times and their ability to position themselves in high-visibility, high-profile locations in key markets. American Eagle’s cycle time is about five months from design to delivery, versus about nine months for The Gap and six months for Abercrombie. AEOS minimizes lead times by maintaining sourcing relationships with a few key manufacturers and producing much of the merchandise in North America, versus 9% for The Gap and a minimal amount for Abercrombie. AEOS has the ability to quick-source some of its simpler product categories in order to react quickly to sales trends. (http...
Fashion is in demand for all walks of life, young and old, male or female, and rich or poor. Fashion is a way to express one’s self and also a way of showing off. Fashion is being who you are. For most teens, image is important. Despite the provocativeness of much of today's fashion, it is possible for teen's to dress appropriately while keeping up with the latest trends.
Aeropostale is a dying brand. It has always been a step below the other “A” brands, Abercrombie and American Eagle, however it was still very successful. But now, it has fallen even further behind in sales as the consumer, the Millennial Generation, wants to move away from “name brands” and into more affordable non-name brand clothing. Therefore, they’ve decided to rebrand and have released #AERONOW as their new sales pitch. Many Millennials have preconceptions about what the brand is like from previous experiences and aren’t sure about anything new from Aeropostale. Mia Cuccaro, a freshman at the University of Findlay and someone apt to wear similar clothing still says that she won’t shop at Aeropostale because “their clothing selection is too narrow. They only sell skinny jeans and the tops are all too similar, plus I don’t want “AERO” plastered across my chest.” Chase Fulton and Savana Floyd also believe that the brand can no longer be successful because the new line is “no different than any other clothing line” and that “it is already too late for them.”
A tall, glamorous runway model is every girl’s dream. Long beautiful legs, lean body, and beautiful shiny hair is what an average young woman views as an ideal image for a female. If you don’t resemble the images of those stunning Victoria Secret models and Fashion Week models, you suddenly become ashamed of your own body. It is a great life to have with the high pay, fame, drinking champagne on a yacht with famous celebrities and even being on the Vogue cover page. Fashion Modeling Industry has been the most influential source in our young women’s lives. Young girls and young women are seen eating as little as they can, even starving themselves at times to resemble those models. What they don’t realize is that they are contributing to the 2.7 percentage of 13- 18 year olds suffering from anorexia and bulimia. Susan Albers, a psychologist at the Cleveland Clinic said exposure to thin models is a great trigger in maintaining an eating disorder. When watching America’s Next Top Model or flipping through a Fashion magazine, these young women don’t apprehend that those models are either naturally slim or they are suffering from an eating disorder themselves, in other words, hostages in the dark hell hid behind those runway curtains. The growing number of young anorexia and bulimia patients, and the number of websites such as thinspiration, where girls put up pictures of their thin bodies clearly suggest that the fashion modeling industry do not at all bear any responsibility in providing healthy, realistic physical role models for young women.
Nike’s research facility processes focus on athletic desire and performance, but when it comes to fashion; the designs change rapidly as do the trends. Therefore if Nike cannot meet the fashion trends consumers will follow the next designer. Nike researches material and processes to ensure their products are in line with their corporate strategy and goals, but the increased cost of products could leave many consumers unable to purchase products. Nike expanding into global markets will increase their marketing strategy, but the exchange rate will affect their cost and may price them out of the local market. A marketspace is referred to as a place where a consumer can purchase goods on the internet (Kotler and Keller, 2012). Nike may do better in global markets by establishing a local marketspace in order to offset exchange rates and reduce costs for emerging
Nowadays, fashion industry is such a negative push on teenagers’ standard of beauty that it is now becoming an unsolved dilemma for our society.
manufacturing products overseas, specifically in Bangladesh. The focal point of the article was how Nike was attempting to achieve the lowest possible manufacturing costs while still maintaining worker safety and producing high-quality products. Both consequences and benefits of manufacturing in foreign companies was discussed in the article. In addition to how manufacturing costs affect the financial outlook of the company, the article addressed how having factories in less-developed countries has an impact on public opinion of Nike.
Fashion is an interesting thing. It is often said that it is recycled. I have even heard people from different generations say “ I use to wear that back in my day”. I find it so fascinating, that I would sit and wonder if the clothes that I am wearing now was once the style of previous generations in my family. Through the years, fashion has been created, recycled and even it even faded away. Have the fashion trends throughout the generations of my family followed any parts of the cycle?
