Recommended: Effects of technology on relationships

Today’s society is so reliant on technology they wouldn’t know what to do with themselves if it was taken away. Humans are always coming up with new ideas to make everyone’s lives easier but what they don’t realize is they’re taking away the traditions of hard earn work, communication, and family time. It’s understandable to come up with ideas to grow and process crops a lot easier because it’s helping feed the community plus more. Technology has cause many people in society to be too dependent on electronics rather than using the traditional way. I thought not having technology would make it harder to communicate with people but actually did the opposite. Technology has undermined human social interaction for far too long and continues to be a problem among families. One major electronic that makes many Americans lazy is watching tv many will spend up to 8 hours or more just sitting on the couch. These people will be so sucked up into watching their favorite movie or tv show they won’t even have a conversation with the person next to them. This may bring strain on families for example a father may be watching football having a beer while his 2-year-old daughter is playing by herself in another room where …show more content…

This also cost a lot of lives for something so unnecessary. To think if people could stay off their phones for long periods of time they would be able to interact with each other and actually have conversations rather than texting with emoji’s. Without cell phones society could go back to some traditions like just talking to their neighbors or the mailman or whoever was nearby. When I was younger I didn’t have a cell phone in order to hang out with my friends I would go down the street and knock on their door to see if they were home.
