Recommended: The effects of technology in teaching

TECHNOLOGY IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING:
We live in the 21st century which is the world of Science and Technology. Technology is used throughout the world and in almost all institutions where people can get the information very fast and can bring the whole world before them in a single click. In fact it is a boon to the people those who use it wisely. It is very useful for teaching and learning of four skills such as learning, speaking, reading and writing. By using this technology, the students can be taught well. The use of computer has changed the world rapidly. They will change the style of teaching in the class room and the students will be curious to know more about what the teachers are teaching. Multimedia can be used wherever necessary. It has its own value and there are many advantages. The teachers can use them effectively and can bring a sea change among the students. My paper discusses how technology can be used at class rooms in teaching and learning and how far it will be useful and productive.
Introduction:
English is an asset to the society. Technological aids have changed the educational strategies and styles of teaching. Videos, audios, multimedia, internet etc. has changed the life of the 21st century learners. It is easy to use technological guides rather than teaching them manually which the students find boring and they will be distracted easily. The teachers also have to put a lot of effort to make it effective. But technological aids will help the teachers to be brisk and keep the teacher energetic r and make the teaching effective the teacher will be active throughout the session without getting tired .The availability of minimum use of right type of teaching technological aids is essential to make ...

By following such methods the students can be shown the slides repeatedly and the slide show can be advanced again and again so that the teachers can drill them well. This will save the time of repeated lecture given by the teacher and over use of black board. The teachers can also give assignments on any topic and can ask the students to do the power point presentation and demonstrate them. So the students will be eager to do it . Repeated writing and repeated rubbing on the black board can be avoided. We can use it again and again till the students understand the concept. We can also give them chance to present the assignments turn wise and at least 5 minutes can be allotted to present the assignment so that even the weakest students of the class also will get an opportunity to do it.
