Technology is one of the highest influence devices in younger generation. Young generations are taking the advantage of technology then create inaccessible account to their parents to communicate with others. They can have constant texting and chat through the internet secretly without being going outside their home. They are easily influenced by instagram and facebook websites. They are trying to fit in to the world by posting their personal life including posting inappropriate pictures and talk to strangers. Technology plays a role to their unsafe behaviors. They can easily meet strangers, they can do identity theft, and also they exchange text or cover up for their friends who are being out without parent’s knowledge. Gary Chapman talked about one particular family who has three kids. The ages of the children are under ten years old. The children are spending more time on watching movies, playing video games, and watching television throughout the day. Their parents were worried about the length of time their children are spending on technologies. “We have no guidelines,” said their dad. “We did have guidelines but could not keep them in place.” (7) The author continued with questions “Can you identify with these discouraged parents?” She describe the parents might have been trying to make a boundary to technologies however, the anger were too much to handle. The media is not announcing the danger and effects of sexual performance, sex are spreading widely in the media and the internet. This risk is a fact on American adolescent’s life. Even though, the teen pregnancy rate dropped in United States, it is quiet twice in Europe and nine times that in Japan. And “sexual transmitted diseases (STD) are on the rise.” (54) According to James P.Steyer, the author of “The Other Parent,” “One quarter of sexually active teens – about four million kids-are infected with STDs each year,” (54) according to James P. Steyer, the author of “The Other Parent,” The most disturbing reports are AIDS. AIDS is the highest main reason of loss on the young generation between fifteen and twenty-four. (56) Those that were affected by AIDS were on their twenties and they were infected as young age.
